This practical drill was held to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Force and the 25th anniversary of the National Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Day. It also served as an opportunity to test the readiness, mobilization of forces and equipment, and coordination in handling fire and explosion incidents in the area.

According to the simulated scenario, a fire broke out in the parking area of a crowded boarding house. Heat from a cigarette ignited a leaking gasoline tank on a motorbike, causing the fire to spread to other vehicles. The fire spread rapidly, producing a lot of smoke and toxic fumes, and threatened to spread to the surrounding area. Upon discovering the incident, residents shouted for help, reported the fire to 114, organized evacuation, and used initial firefighting equipment to control the blaze.

Upon receiving the report, forces quickly arrived at the scene, deployed firefighting and rescue plans, ensured security and order, and provided first aid. The drill scenario required coordination between local and professional forces; from detecting and reporting the fire, organizing evacuations, to rescuing people and preventing the fire from spreading. Simulated victims were evacuated from the dangerous area, given first aid, and their health status was assessed; simultaneously, the firefighting force deployed water spraying teams to cool and extinguish the fire.

According to Nguyen Thang Long, Vice Chairman of the Yen So Ward People's Committee: "The drill not only aims to improve the command and coordination capabilities between forces but also contributes to developing skills in handling fire and explosion situations at the grassroots level."

One of the key tasks identified by Yen So ward is to continue maintaining and promoting the effectiveness of neighborhood fire safety groups and public fire fighting points; encouraging each household to proactively check electrical sources, heat sources, escape routes, and equip themselves with necessary fire fighting equipment. Residents are also being educated on using the 114 application to provide information and report fires quickly in case of an incident.
Through the drills, the forces continued to refine their coordination skills according to the "four on-the-spot" principle, while also enhancing self-prevention and self-management awareness within the community. This is an important solution to make fire prevention and firefighting a regular practice for every agency, unit, family, and individual citizen, contributing to limiting the risk of fires and explosions and minimizing damage to people and property at the grassroots level.
