At the conference, Mr. Le Hoang Hai, a member of the National Assembly, informed the voters about the agenda of the 2nd Session of the 16th National Assembly.
Accordingly, the session will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1 from October 17 to November 13, 2026; Phase 2 from November 19 to 20, 2026. This is the year-end session with key contents focusing on lawmaking; reviewing and discussing socio-economic issues and overseeing other important national issues. According to the planned program, regarding legislative work, the National Assembly will consider 45 draft laws and resolutions, of which 43 will be passed and 1 resolution will be adopted; and opinions will be given on 1 draft law.

Voters express their opinions.
During the meeting, voters raised many issues affecting people's lives, such as the flooding situation during the rainy season. The rain needs to be addressed promptly; roads are deteriorating and need repair to facilitate people's travel; stricter measures are needed to address speeding and reckless driving by trucks on National Highway 20; resolving land disputes and issuing land ownership certificates to citizens is taking too long, and administrative procedures for issuing land ownership certificates are still complicated; complaints and denunciations are protracted; policies and benefits for the elderly are needed; consideration should be given to expanding preferential policies and allowances for civil servants in the commune-level administrative sector due to increased work pressure after the reorganization of the apparatus; more security cameras should be installed to prevent theft; difficulties in issuing personal identification documents and registering residence for overseas Vietnamese households returning from Cambodia to live in the area should be resolved.
The opinions, suggestions, and feedback from voters were discussed, explained, and answered by the leaders of the city's departments and agencies and the People's Committees of the communes; those opinions that were not answered were recorded and requested to be studied by the relevant departments to provide answers to the voters as soon as possible.
Speaking at the conference, delegate Bui Xuan Thong, City Party Committee member and Deputy Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation, acknowledged, directly addressed, and further clarified the issues of concern to voters. Regarding issues related to people's lives within the local government's jurisdiction, such as transportation infrastructure, flood control, land use right certificates, and birth certificates, the delegate requested that local authorities promptly address these concerns, make commitments, and provide clear timelines for resolution. Issues beyond the local government's jurisdiction should be compiled and coordinated with relevant agencies for consideration and resolution. Regarding the allowance policy for commune-level officials and related legal amendments, the City's National Assembly Delegation will compile the voters' opinions and recommendations to forward them to central agencies for consideration.
The delegates hope that voters will continue to cooperate, reflect on issues arising from practice, and contribute opinions to improve policies and laws, especially those directly related to people's lives, livelihoods, and infrastructure; while also promoting the awareness and responsibility of each citizen in building and developing the locality.
