On the afternoon of October 6th, the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a meeting to review the draft resolution to be submitted to the fourth specialized session of the 11th Provincial People's Council. Ms. Than Thi Ngoc Kieu, Standing Member and Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council, chaired the meeting. Also attending was Mr. Kim Ruong, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

At the meeting, the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council reviewed draft resolutions on amending Resolution No. 31/NQ-HĐND dated July 15, 2026, of the Provincial People's Council on adjusting and supplementing some targets, tasks, and solutions for socio-economic development in the last six months of 2026; regulations on the level of financial support for purchasing health insurance cards for people infected with HIV/AIDS and support for co-payment costs of antiretroviral drugs for people infected with HIV/AIDS with health insurance cards in Vinh Long province; regulations on the remuneration level for population collaborators also working on family affairs, prevention and control of domestic violence and child abuse in Vinh Long province; regulations on tuition fees for public educational institutions and tuition fee support for children and students in private and non-public schools for the 2026-2027 school year in Vinh Long province. Repeal the legal resolutions of the People's Councils of Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces issued before the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units.

The Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council basically agreed on the content of the draft resolutions; and also agreed to submit them to the fourth specialized session of the 11th Provincial People's Council after the Provincial People's Committee has received, explained, and clarified the opinions and recommendations mentioned in the verification report and the contributions made at the meeting.
Regarding the draft resolution on amending Resolution No. 31/NQ-HĐND dated July 15, 2026, of the Provincial People's Council on adjusting and supplementing a number of targets, tasks, and solutions for socio -economic development in the last six months of 2026, the Committee requests the drafting agency to clarify the legal and practical basis; and finalize the draft resolution to submit to the competent authority for approval before submitting it to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and decision.
