On the evening of October 2nd, Quang Hung MasterD won the Tinh Ha Say Hi competition with an overwhelming 4.1 million votes, officially defeating 23 other contestants. Duong Domic was the runner-up, while CongB, buitruonglinh, and Captain Boy were also in the top 5. From a top 5 position in Anh Trai Say Hi 2024, Quang Hung rose to the top spot upon his return, after a continuous run of outstanding products.
Quang Hung MasterD said he came to Tinh Ha Say Hi because he missed his bandmates, especially after seeing his images from the previous season. He expressed gratitude for the program helping him shine naturally and wanted to fulfill his promise to give it his all. However, in the first team captain election, the male singer did not receive any votes. Some of his bandmates worried that his busy performance schedule would make it difficult for him to take on the job.
Regarding the CoolKid team in Live Stage 1, Quang Hung MasterD and the team leader were responsible for the music for " 50 Missed Calls ." Cody Nam Vo handled the arrangement, and Jaysonlei contributed to the emotional expression. Although not the team leader, Quang Hung was still entrusted with this important task. The song became the first hit of the Tinh Ha show, with the male artist's distinctive vocal style.
Right from the first round, the performance he participated in attracted viewers who sought to listen to and watch it again. The existing popularity from the previous season was an advantage, but the 50 missed calls show that the male singer knows how to use his strengths to make an impression in the group's product.
In Live Stage 2, Quang Hung MasterD led Song Luan, JSsol, and Son.K in "Mong Duyen." The team chose traditional pop, incorporating traditional elements into a contemporary rhythm, with an epic stage setting. After "50 Missed Calls ," his role also changed to team leader, guiding the entire group.
The highlight of "Mong Duyen" is the combination of traditional Vietnamese drums with jazz drums by artist Emil Vergo. During the preparation process, Quang Hung MasterD went abroad for seven days on business, causing the team to rush through rehearsals. However, Song Luan, Jsol, and Son.K appreciated the male singer's ability to guide and inspire confidence. He began to score points in his role as team leader, in addition to his strengths in songwriting and performance.
In Live Stage 3, Quang Hung MasterD took on the role of team leader and once again employed the tactic of delegating the leadership role to Cody Nam Vo, Ali Hoang Duong, and Xuan Dinh KY – three individuals who had never led a team before in the program. He let the team leaders divide the tasks and take responsibility for the performances, while he monitored progress and assisted with any unfinished parts of the Run To You, MRT, and Secret performance series.
Tran Thanh commented that the way the performances were connected had a cinematic feel. In the EP, "Secret," produced and performed by Quang Hung MasterD along with Wren Evans, CongB, and Cody Nam Vo, went viral across various platforms. The song garnered approximately 19 million views on YouTube, creating a cover trend and later winning The Hit Icon award.
In the Dance Battle, the Quang Hung MasterD alliance continued to capitalize on each member's strengths. CongB was tasked with leading the team and developing the concept. CongB and Ali Hoang Duong's pole dance performance attracted attention despite the slippery stage. Cody Nam Vo, Hyo, Xuan Dinh KY, and Song Luan also delivered sensual dance performances. Although they created a strong impact on the audience, the alliance still lost to Duong Domic's team by seven points in the first round and will have to seek opportunities in subsequent rounds.
Ivan and CongB helped the Quang Hung MasterD alliance win the Cypher round, leveling the score. In the decisive match, Cody Nam Vo used his popping skills and body control techniques to defeat Phap Kieu, bringing the alliance to a 2-1 overall victory. The win was due to the direct efforts of the team members and also showcased Quang Hung MasterD's strategy in the program.
Quang Hung MasterD continued his strong performance in Live Stage 4, along with Captain Boy, CoolKid, and Phap Kieu, leading LAVIEM to the top spot among the performances. According to the round's rules, each member receives 20 points from their group results. LAVIEM 's victory gives the team an advantage and solidifies Quang Hung's position among the championship contenders.
Quang Hung MasterD also topped the individual rankings in both Live Stage 3 and 4. According to Socialite, the male singer led the list of the 10 most noteworthy older brothers of the week eight times, almost never leaving the top 10 throughout the program. The large fan base from "Anh trai say hi 2024" gave the singer a significant advantage in the voting race.
In the final night, he was given the last performance slot in the solo competition. Quang Hung MasterD staged the casting as an audition, with Phao playing the role of a female director. He combined acting, dancing, and Thai rap, creating an explosive performance. Before the show, the male singer said he wanted to prove that his music could go beyond the one-dimensional perception. The performance showed the singer's efforts, although the music still relied heavily on his forte of vocal embellishments.
By the evening of October 2nd, Casting ranked fifth on the YouTube music trending chart in Vietnam, the highest among the solo performances in episode 13. " Late Dinner," led by Quang Hung MasterD along with Wean Le, Xuan Dinh KY, and Son.K, ranked second with approximately 1.3 million views. The total number of views for solo and group performances he participated in reached approximately 42.5 million, leading the other 24 contestants. This is Quang Hung's undefeated achievement in the race for an advantage in Tinh Ha Say Hi.
