In Chan Thinh, the spirit of solidarity begins with everyday life in each family. With a focus on the grassroots and putting the people at the center, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune, in coordination with its member organizations, implements many activities to support poor households and those in difficult circumstances to develop production and stabilize their lives.

The family of Mr. Phan The Khuong (Du village) was once a very disadvantaged household. To help Mr. Khuong's family overcome poverty, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Chan Thinh commune mobilized social resources to support them with local pig and chicken breeds; at the same time, they guided the family on methods of livestock farming and economic development.

With additional initial resources and the efforts of the family members, the livestock farming model gradually brought stable income to the family. In 2024, he voluntarily submitted an application to be removed from the list of impoverished households.

Mr. Phan The Khuong shared: "Thanks to the help and guidance from the departments, agencies, and organizations of Chan Thinh commune on livestock farming, crop cultivation, and family economic development, my family has now escaped poverty and has a stable economy."

The Fatherland Front of Viet Nam Chan Thinh commune, along with other village social organizations, participated in maintaining the flower-lined road.

Livelihood support not only provides material resources but also instills confidence in people to proactively change their ways of doing things and rise up through their own labor. Beyond helping each other develop economically, the spirit of solidarity in Chấn Thịnh is also clearly demonstrated through the collective effort to build infrastructure.

The road from Chan Thinh commune to Nghia Tam commune is over 2 km long but only about 3 meters wide. The narrow road surface makes travel, transportation of goods, and trade difficult for the people. In May 2026, the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, and other organizations propagated and mobilized the people to voluntarily move fences, donate land, contribute labor and funds to expand the road to 7 meters.

Local people participated in clearing barriers and donating land for the construction of rural roads.

When the initiative was implemented, many households agreed, readily sacrificing a portion of their land and family property for the common good. To date, over 180 households in the commune have voluntarily moved fences and donated land totaling over 8,000 m²; contributing over 300 man-days of labor and more than 700 million VND in cash to upgrade the road.

Mrs. Tran Thi Xuyen's family is one of the pioneering households that donated land for road construction. Mrs. Xuyen said: " My family donated over 150 square meters of land along the road. The completion of the road makes travel easier for my family and other villagers, and everyone is happy and excited. This has been a long-awaited dream of the people in the commune for many years."

The consensus of the people contributed to opening up a wider and more convenient road. Each person contributed a part, but when those contributions were added together, they created a great resource for the community.

The completed road facilitates travel for residents and enhances the appearance of the rural area.

In Du village, that spirit is also reflected in the process of building a new rural area. The village currently has 303 households, and previously, transportation and community life were difficult. During the implementation of projects and tasks in building a new rural area, the people actively donated land, contributed labor, and provided financial support.

The road passing through Du village is nearly 800 meters long, with 97 households voluntarily donating over 4,300 m² of land, contributing nearly 200 days of labor and more than 320 million VND.

Ms. Ha Thi Van, Secretary of the Party Branch of Du village, Chan Thinh commune, said: "The Party Committee, the Party branch, and the people in the village have worked together to build a new rural area. All movements have received the people's agreement and support. During the mobilization process, we have promoted the great national unity of the village. After meetings, propaganda, and mobilization, the people fully responded and implemented the initiatives well."

The people actively contributed their labor and resources to building new rural areas.

From specific stories in individual households and residential areas, it can be seen that when people understand, agree with, and directly participate, major policies will be concretized through practical projects and tasks. This is also how the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Chan Thinh commune innovates the content and methods of its activities, directing emulation movements and campaigns to the grassroots level, linking them to the actual needs of the people.

Over the years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune has mobilized the people to donate over 12,000 m² of land and many assets on the land to build rural roads, cultural houses, and welfare facilities, with a total value of tens of billions of VND. The locality maintains nearly 50 km of "lighted rural roads," 35 km of flower-lined roads; built 126 mini incinerators and 68 security camera points along the main roads, contributing to the completion of the criteria for advanced new rural communes.

The strength of national unity is gradually improving the lives of the people.

Each member organization also selects suitable tasks to mobilize its members to participate. The Women's Union of the commune maintains 24 "Waste-Free Road" and "Flower Road" models, contributing to maintaining environmental hygiene and building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape.

The Veterans Association maintains over 30 economic models, creating jobs for nearly 500 workers; and mobilizes nearly 2,000 members to participate in environmental sanitation and maintaining security and order.

The Farmers' Association coordinated the disbursement of approximately 1.5 billion VND to 20 households for production development loans; at the same time, it implemented the "Digital Literacy Movement," helping members gradually access digital knowledge and services.

The Youth Union mobilized over 100 million VND through social contributions, giving gifts to 120 disadvantaged students and providing livelihood support to 4 poor families.

Through concrete actions, the strength of national unity has gradually been transformed into socio-economic development results. To date, Chan Thinh commune maintains 19 new rural criteria; average per capita income reaches over 52 million VND/person/year; and the poverty rate has decreased to 2%.

Mr. Ha Dinh Kien, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chan Thinh commune, said: The Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has identified the need to promote national unity in the area, focusing on participating in and contributing to the implementation of political tasks in the locality, building projects and carrying out activities that promote the spirit of solidarity, and mobilizing people's strength in these projects and activities.

In the coming period, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Chan Thinh commune will continue to coordinate with member organizations to innovate propaganda and mobilization work; directing emulation movements towards specific, practical tasks suitable for each residential area. Through this, it will promote the leading role of the people in building new rural areas, developing the economy, achieving sustainable poverty reduction, and ensuring social security.

From households receiving livelihood support to families voluntarily donating land for road construction, each action, though different, demonstrates a sense of responsibility towards the community. When consensus is built at the grassroots level, each citizen becomes an active participant in building their homeland, forming the foundation for Chấn Thịnh to leverage the strength of unity and achieve sustainable development.
