Improving the effectiveness of the Farmers Support Fund and creating momentum for economic development.
In the first nine months of 2026, the Farmers' Association of Duc Long commune focused on implementing various solutions to build, manage, and effectively utilize the Farmers' Support Fund, thereby creating additional resources to help members develop production, increase income, and contribute to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the locality.

The Farmers' Association of Duc Long commune currently has 11 branches with 1,192 members. Recognizing the Farmers' Mutual Assistance Fund as one of the important resources supporting farmers' economic development, the Standing Committee of the Farmers' Association of the commune has proactively advised the Party Committee and the government to launch a campaign to build the Fund; and has intensified propaganda about the purpose, significance, and role of the Farmers' Mutual Assistance Fund to officials, members, agencies, units, businesses, cooperatives, and the people in the area.
Comrade Nguyen Phuong Huy, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Province, and Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, inspected the buffalo breeding project in Ban Nhan hamlet, Duc Long commune.
The fundraising efforts have yielded positive results. In 2025, the entire commune raised 65.968 million VND for the Farmers' Support Fund, reaching 180% of the provincial target . By September 18, 2026, the total capital managed by the commune's Farmers' Support Fund projects reached 1.7 billion VND, with 47 households borrowing and implementing 5 projects , focusing on models of buffalo breeding, cinnamon cultivation, and anise cultivation. The lending and use of capital are carefully managed by the commune's Farmers' Association, following proper procedures, linked to the actual needs of members and the local economic development orientation. The Association guides members in developing production and business plans; conducts appraisals and inspections before, during, and after disbursement, contributing to ensuring that capital is used for its intended purpose and effectively. Notably, using funds from the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund, the Commune Farmers' Association appraised and disbursed funds for one buffalo breeding project in Ban Nhan and Ban Vien villages, totaling 1.14 billion VND for 19 households . In the first nine months of the year, the Association also recovered funds from two buffalo breeding projects totaling 400 million VND for 20 households.
The capital from the Farmers' Support Fund has contributed to helping members have more opportunities to invest in production, create jobs, increase income, and gradually stabilize their lives. Through various models and projects, some poor households have been able to improve their lives, many households have developed their economies better and become successful producers and business owners; at the same time, contributing to promoting the movement of "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty".
