
Mr. Nguyen Van Nghi, Chairman of the Phu Thuy Ward People's Committee, said: Immediately after the sand spill occurred, the ward's forces, including the police, military, the Ward's General Service Center, and neighborhood groups, responded promptly.
Simultaneously, local authorities erected warning signs and rerouted traffic. According to observations, by 8 PM that day, rainfall in Phu Thuy and surrounding areas had gradually decreased. At the site affected by the sand encroachment, forces from Phu Thuy ward actively cleared the sand to facilitate traffic flow for residents.

It is known that this location frequently experiences sand encroachment whenever there is heavy rain.

Seventeen reservoirs in the eastern part of the province are maintaining water regulation.
Regarding the response to heavy rainfall in recent days, the Binh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited ( Lam Dong province) reported that, as of now, the unit is maintaining regulated water release through the spillways of 17 reservoirs, including: Long Song, Song Luy, Ca Giay, Song Khan, Song Quao, Suoi Da, Cam Hang, Ca Giang, Song Mong, Ba Bau, Du Du, Tan Lap, Ta Mon, Song Phan, Song Dinh 3, Nui Dat, and Tra Tan.

Specifically, Phan Dung reservoir began regulating water flow from October 6th with a flow rate of 10 m3/s to 40 m3/s; Song Khan reservoir (Ham Thuan Bac commune) increased its water regulation flow rate from 10 m3/s to 30 m3/s.
To minimize potential damage in the affected area, the company requests that the People's Committees of the downstream communes and wards promptly inform the people about the situation so that they can proactively take preventive measures to ensure safety.
