On the afternoon of October 2nd, the Border Guard Command (BGC) held a conference combining in-person and online participation to implement the plan for coordinating the construction of drug-free communes, wards, and special zones in coastal border areas and sea regions; to summarize activities in response to the "Month of Action against Human Trafficking" in 2026; and to award prizes for Case A3-626p.

Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Commander of the Border Guard Force - chaired the conference.
At the Provincial Border Guard Command's meeting point, Colonel Doan Minh Trung - Provincial Party Committee member and Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command - presided over the meeting.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and evaluating the implementation of drug-free border communes and wards; the results of the intensified campaign against human trafficking; the coordination between the Border Guard and other functional forces; and solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of crime prevention and control in the future.
Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Lieutenant General Vu Trung Kien - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Commander of the Border Guard Force - requested that agencies and units within the Border Guard Force: Thoroughly understand and focus on leading and directing the entire Plan of the Border Guard Force Command; in particular, comprehensively assess the situation to identify key areas and targets that require focused implementation of measures.
At the same time, develop plans that closely reflect the actual situation, implement comprehensively the policies and measures of border defense work; strengthen international coordination and cooperation, proactively prevent drug trafficking from early on, from afar, and from outside, promptly stop drug trafficking networks and sources of supply across the border, aiming for the goal of eliminating drugs in border areas by 2030.
