Traditional Vietnamese folk music performances on Cai Rang Floating Market attract foreign tourists.
The Southern Vietnamese folk music and opera performance program, organized by the Tay Do Art and Cai Luong Troupe under the Can Tho City Center for Culture and Arts, takes place regularly at 6:00 AM every Saturday.
The sounds of music and singing blend together on the boat deck amidst the atmosphere of the floating market.

The sounds of the zither and concave-fretted guitar, blended with the voices of the artists, further enhance the beauty of Cai Rang Floating Market every weekend morning. No elaborate stage is needed; the artists sit on the boat decks, letting their hearts flow with the melodies. The voices of artists Linh Sang, Le Duy, Hong Thuy, Thuy Trang, Vo Vu Linh… are sweet and captivating to the listeners.
The young couple from France enjoyed "playing the role" of artists, joining in the traditional Vietnamese folk music performance.

The performances on early weekend mornings are particularly effective because it coincides with the peak tourist season at Cai Rang Floating Market. Numerous tourists, especially foreigners, dock their boats to listen to the singing; some even go aboard to interact with the artists and take souvenir photos.

It can be said that bringing traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (đờn ca tài tử) to the floating market is a way to bring this heritage closer to the public, contributing to maintaining the vitality of this art form that has been recognized by UNESCO. The program also helps to enrich tourism products at Cai Rang Floating Market, creating more unique experiences for tourists in addition to sightseeing and trading on the river.
For foreign tourists, traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performances are a very effective "ambassador" for promoting the culture of Southern Vietnam.
