In early October, the sight of fluffy white clouds appearing over Ba Vi National Park ( Hanoi ) delighted many tourists.

From the high vantage points, layers of white clouds spread out like silk ribbons, enveloping the mountains in the early morning mist.

Speaking with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper , Mr. Nguyen Phi Hung, Director of the Ba Vi National Park Tourism Center, said that from the beginning of October to the end of the year is the best time for cloud hunting in Ba Vi National Park.

"It is estimated that about 1,000 tourists visit each day to take photos and chase the clouds. The number of visitors is expected to increase on weekends," Mr. Hung said.

According to Ms. Quynh, a local tour guide, in recent days, tourists have been lining up at the entrance of Ba Vi National Park as early as 4-5 am to buy tickets in order to catch the sunrise at 6 am. This is the time of day when the clouds are most beautiful and dense.

Many tourists in the city center have to leave as early as 3 am, traveling over 40-50km in the dark to buy tickets in time to see the clouds.

"Some young people left at 4 am but arrived too late to buy tickets, so they missed the sunrise. Therefore, the golden time for cloud watching is from 5:30 am to 7 am at bends in the road at altitudes of 900m and above. After this time, the clouds easily turn into thick fog," Ms. Quynh said.

Sharing more about the best time for cloud watching, Mr. Hung also said that if it rained the day before and the sun came out the next day, the clouds would appear very impressively.

Therefore, tourists intending to go cloud hunting should monitor weather information and updated images on Ba Vi National Park's channels to choose the appropriate time.

The best spot for cloud watching in Ba Vi National Park is at an altitude of 950m. From this area, visitors can gaze down and admire the vast expanse of clouds stretching across the sky.

Besides cloud hunting, in about 2-3 weeks, wild sunflowers will start blooming, and tourists can participate in sightseeing and camping activities.

With regard to hiking on the main routes of Ba Vi National Park, this unit does not encourage tourists to participate.

The reason is that the route is still in use, posing a potential safety risk. Therefore, tourists visiting to hunt for clouds and camp should carefully choose suitable areas and activities, and comply with the guidelines of Ba Vi National Park.

From downtown Hanoi, tourists can travel by private car directly along Thang Long Boulevard, Lang - Hoa Lac, and Yen Bai to Thien Son Suoi Nga. Another route many people choose is via National Highway 32. The travel time is 1-2 hours.

For the priority group including people over 60 years old and people with disabilities, the ticket price is 30,000 VND per person.
