In accordance with Plan No. 259 dated September 16, 2026, of the Provincial People's Committee, the recruitment of civil servants in 2026 includes 315 positions, of which 298 are for separate recruitment and 17 are for joint recruitment across multiple agencies.
By the end of October 5th, the Recruitment Council had implemented and issued 18 documents serving the recruitment process; completed the public announcement of the recruitment, the list of study materials; and prepared the examination, interview, and question-setting departments, as well as the necessary facilities, security, and technical conditions for the examination.
By 5:30 PM on October 5th, the Department of Internal Affairs had received 707 application forms, including 5 candidates for the high-quality human resources category and 702 candidates for the regular category. The deadline for receiving applications is 5:30 PM on October 15th, 2026.
According to the plan, the third recruitment council meeting is scheduled for October 16th to review the list of eligible candidates for the high-quality human resources category; the second round of review for the high-quality human resources category will be held on October 20th. For the regular category, the first round is scheduled to open on the afternoon of October 26th, with the exam starting on October 27th; the second round is expected to begin on November 13th. The recruitment results are expected to be finalized in November, and the Department of Internal Affairs will issue the recruitment decision in early December 2026.

Along with implementing the recruitment process, the handling, processing, and response to citizens' requests and feedback related to the recruitment period are also carried out according to regulations, ensuring that information is provided promptly, clearly, and within the proper authority.
Notably, on October 1, 2026, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter No. 7479/UBND-NC on rectifying the recruitment of civil servants in 2026. Accordingly, it requires agencies and units to strengthen discipline and order, ensuring the recruitment process is open, transparent, objective, and fair; and to proactively prevent, detect, and handle acts of exploiting recruitment for personal gain, brokering, receiving money, or promising to help candidates get hired. Information showing signs of legal violations is required to be promptly forwarded to the relevant authorities for verification and handling according to regulations.
Son La province is focusing on preparing the necessary conditions to ensure that the recruitment process is conducted openly, transparently, and in accordance with regulations, selecting a team of civil servants who meet the requirements of the new phase.
