In Lien Hong village, Ms. Do Thi Nhu Y is a disabled person from a poor household. Her family consists only of her and her daughter. Life is already difficult, and her limited health makes working and earning a living challenging, while essential expenses remain a constant concern. Saving enough money to build a sturdy house is almost an impossible dream.

Also in Lien Hong village, Ms. Nguyen Thi Son received support with a different story. Ms. Son is the daughter of a resistance fighter who was exposed to chemical toxins. Her family has escaped near-poverty, the result of hard work, but life still presents many challenges. To build a sturdy house, the family still needs funding, which would be difficult to obtain entirely on their own. This support therefore becomes a lifeline for the family to realize a plan they have considered for a long time.
A new house can't make past difficulties disappear. But a stable place to live can ease some of the burden on a family and give them more resources to prepare for the future.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bay, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Dien commune, said that supporting the construction of solidarity houses is one of the practical activities aimed at caring for disadvantaged households, helping people stabilize their housing and gradually improve their quality of life.
"Each family has different circumstances, so support needs to be timely and targeted. We hope that the houses built will help families become more stable, thereby giving them more opportunities and motivation to improve their lives," said the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Dien commune.
