From its inception in November 2016, Vietcombank Nam Da Nang was tasked with expanding its market share and establishing the Vietcombank brand's position in the southern part of the city and surrounding areas.
However, the development journey was not entirely smooth as expected. In the early years of operation, the rapid growth of the real estate market significantly impacted credit quality and business performance. Coupled with intense competition in the banking industry, the branch faced many difficulties and challenges in building a foundation for sustainable development.
Before the initial difficulties were fully resolved, the COVID-19 pandemic emerged. This was perhaps the most challenging period for many businesses and credit institutions nationwide. Vietcombank Nam Da Nang was also not immune to this impact.
Business operations stalled, many customers faced cash flow difficulties, and credit demand declined. Following the government 's policy, Vietcombank had to ensure safe and efficient business operations while simultaneously implementing pandemic prevention and control measures, and supporting customers in overcoming these difficulties. These impacts directly affected the branch's performance and the lives of its employees. At times, staff had to work much harder to complete their tasks. But it was precisely in these challenging circumstances that the spirit of Vietcombank was most clearly demonstrated.

By the end of the second quarter of 2026, the branch continued to maintain positive growth momentum and successfully completed its key tasks. 2025 marks a significant milestone as Vietcombank Nam Da Nang successfully achieves all assigned business targets. The branch's operational scale has grown significantly, credit quality has improved, business efficiency has been enhanced, and its position in the area has been clearly strengthened, as demonstrated by five key achievements:
1. For the first time, the branch reached a significant milestone with total assets reaching 10,435 billion VND (exceeding the target set at the beginning of 2025 and one year ahead of schedule compared to the target set at the 2024 Business Task Implementation Conference);
2. For the first time, profits reached three digits: 123 billion VND;
3. For the first time, the Branch's labor productivity recorded a significant improvement, reflecting increasingly enhanced operational efficiency;
4. For the first time achieving the best credit quality in the region and also the best ever for the branch, the branch was evaluated by the Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 9 as a model unit in terms of credit quality;
5. And as a culmination of all those efforts, for the first time, Vietcombank Nam Da Nang officially received the title of branch that excellently fulfilled its nhiệm vụ (mission/tasks).
