Forty years ago, on October 7, 1986, the People's Committee of Binh Tri Thien province issued Decision No. 1496/QD-UB establishing the Binh Tri Thien Ethnic Youth School, the predecessor of the present-day Nam Quang Tri Ethnic Boarding High School.
Through the changes in our homeland and country, the school has successively undergone name changes, relocations, and innovations in its training model; from a school with many shortcomings, it has become the Quang Tri Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities and is now the Nam Quang Tri Ethnic Minority Boarding High School. Under the roof of this school, students from disadvantaged villages have gained knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to change their future.
