On the afternoon of October 2nd, the Da Nang City Department of Culture , Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Quang Phu Ward People's Committee, organized a program to announce a southern tourism tour with the theme "Touching Nature". This is a concrete step in realizing the orientation of expanding tourism space and strengthening connections between the central area and the potential-rich southern regions.

The southern region has a transportation advantage with National Highway 1A, the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway, the Da Nang - Chu Lai coastal road, and National Highway 40B. From the city center, visitors can travel through urban areas, coastal regions, plains, and then continue on to mountainous and highland areas.
Tourism resources here are also diverse. Historical and cultural spaces include the Chien Dan Tower, the Ky Anh Tunnels, and the Monument Complex of the Heroic Vietnamese Mother. Other attractions include rivers, villages, the coastal areas of the Dam River, the Tam Thanh community art village, Tam Thanh and Tam Tien beaches, and the island commune of Tam Hai.
Phu Ninh Lake and Loc Yen ancient village create additional destinations associated with lake and mountain landscapes. Meanwhile, the Muong village, Tak Po cloud-hunting village, and Ngoc Linh ginseng growing area open up journeys to explore the mountainous and highland regions.

According to statistics, in the first nine months of 2026, the Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother welcomed 90,000 visitors, Tam Hai 42,000, Loc Yen 35,000, and Phu Ninh Lake 14,496. Tak Po received nearly 7,200 visitors for overnight stays, sightseeing, and experiences; Tra Linh 7,500 and Song Dam approximately 600.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Van Ba Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said that the southern part of the city has a blend of rivers, lakes, rice fields, villages, and the sea; many places still retain their natural landscapes, ecological environment, and the simple charm of local life. In addition, there are values related to history, culture, cuisine, local products, and stories associated with the land and its people.

"If the central area has already built its appeal with beach tourism, resorts, entertainment, and modern urban services, then the South can add a different experiential space – closer to nature, culture, and community life," Mr. Son said.
Visitors come not only to admire the scenery, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of rivers, countryside, and the sea; to learn about the culture, enjoy local cuisine and products, and meet the people living in that very land.
