Pay attention to practical needs.
In 1991, Ms. Hoang Thi Chi Lan started working at the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory at the age of 19. Starting with manual labor, she worked and studied simultaneously, and with the factory's support, she completed her university degree. Afterward, she was assigned a job that matched her expertise. Currently, Ms. Lan is a statistician in Workshop 3 of the factory. Looking back on her 35 years working at the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory, what Ms. Lan mentions most often is her stable family life; the opportunities for learning; and the care and support she received from her colleagues during difficult times. She has also witnessed the factory's daily growth, especially the investment in many modern production lines, equipment, and machinery, gradually replacing manual processes and making the work less strenuous for the workers.

Currently, nearly 3,800 workers at Khatoco's 16 member units have stable jobs and an average income of 15.2 million VND per person per month. Besides job security and income, employees also receive meals during shifts, in-kind benefits for those in strenuous or hazardous positions, and regular health check-ups with comprehensive examination packages, including cancer screening…
In particular, Khatoco employees annually participate in domestic and international tours and trips . From 2024, the company has implemented this program for all official employees with contracts of 12 months or more at the Head Office and its subsidiary accounting units, with a support allowance of 7 million VND per person per year. The company also demonstrates its care through gift-giving on holidays, birthdays, and weddings; visits during illness and bereavement; and support for employees upon retirement or leaving based on seniority. Those in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, or requiring long-term treatment also receive attention and support. Children of employees with outstanding academic achievements are awarded scholarships to encourage continued effort. Notably, during the historic floods of November 2025, the Corporation provided nearly 10 billion VND in support to employee families whose homes and property were damaged, helping them to quickly stabilize their lives.
Mr. Kieu Tuan Hai, Chairman of the Khatoco Trade Union, shared: “Caring for employees first and foremost means listening to understand their needs and difficulties. From there, we coordinate with the General Corporation's leadership and units to ensure their rights and propose welfare policies that closely match their actual needs. When employees receive timely care and support, they will feel secure in their work and become more committed to the company.”
Cherishing the years we've spent together.
Over 43 years of construction and development, generations of employees have always preserved the tradition of close bonds and camaraderie within the "common home" of Khatoco. This tradition was forged through the most difficult periods, such as in the early years when the company needed capital to expand production; employees donated their salaries , savings, and even family assets to the company. This spirit of shared hardship continues to be clearly demonstrated through subsequent challenges. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many employees of the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory ate, lived, and worked together at the factory for over 60 days to ensure production did not stop.

For Mr. Dinh Tien Khoa, an accountant at Khatoco Tobacco Raw Materials Company, after 35 years of dedication, from a direct production worker to an accountant, with periods of frequent absences from home while working in the raw material areas, Mr. Khoa clearly feels the close camaraderie among colleagues during his years working under the "Khatoco roof." As for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Le Hien, an employee of the Organization and Administration Department at Khatoco Khanh Hoa Tobacco Factory, who will retire in just a few months, he still cherishes the place where he has dedicated his life to contributing, working, and producing. "If I could turn back time and choose again, I would still choose Khatoco as the place to work and be a part of my life," Mr. Hien expressed.
Mr. Kieu Tuan Hai stated that, recognizing the years of dedication and contributions of its employees, Khatoco maintains the tradition of awarding the "For the Cause of Building and Developing Khanh Viet Corporation" badge to its employees on the occasion of the Corporation's founding anniversary every year. On October 4th, on the occasion of its 43rd anniversary, Khatoco held a ceremony to honor and express gratitude to its employees. This was an opportunity for the Corporation to reflect on the sustained contributions of its employees over 43 years of building and development. On this occasion, 488 Khatoco staff and workers were awarded the "For the Cause of Building and Developing Khanh Viet Corporation" badge for terms ranging from 10 to 35 years.
