From October 9-11, the 4th Mong Ethnic Culture Festival 2026 will be held in Dien Bien , with the participation of artisans, performers, and amateur athletes of the Mong ethnic group from 11 provinces: Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Son La, Cao Bang , Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Dak Lak.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, includes many cultural, sports and tourism activities aimed at introducing the cultural identity of the Mong ethnic group in the localities.

The event also provided a space for interaction among participating delegations, allowing them to exchange experiences in preserving and promoting national cultural identity in conjunction with tourism development and community life.

In Thai Nguyen, the Provincial Cultural Center is carrying out preparatory work for the participating delegation, focusing on selecting and guiding artisans and performers to perfect their assigned tasks.

According to the plan, Thai Nguyen is expected to contribute by showcasing Mong flute performances, traditional costumes, cultural experiences, and introducing the unique characteristics of the Mong people in the locality.

Folk songs, flute music, and traditional costumes are selected to showcase the typical cultural features of the Mong people, contributing to bringing the cultural image of Thai Nguyen to tourists.
