According to the decision signed by the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , Tang Chi Thuong, Mr. Lap will assume his new position from October 1st for a term of 5 years.
Thus, after nearly two years of this position being vacant, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health now has a new Chief of Office. Previously, Dr. Le Thien Quynh Nhu was transferred and appointed as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital from January 2, 2025.
Also on this occasion, Mr. Tang Chi Thuong presented the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam - acting Chief of the Office of the Department of Health - to the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital.
In addition, a decision was issued to transfer Ms. Pham Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Inspection and Legal Affairs Department of the Department of Health, to take up a new position at the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Eye Hospital.
In his acceptance speech, Specialist Doctor Nguyen Hai Nam thanked the leaders of the Department of Health for their attention and trust. He stated that he would uphold a sense of responsibility, work together with the hospital's leadership team, continuously improve professional quality and patient care, and promote advanced techniques.
According to Mr. Nam, the goal is to contribute to the development of the Ho Chi Minh City Ear, Nose, and Throat Hospital to become a leading specialized hospital, aiming for the status of a regional specialized hospital.
At the decision-awarding ceremony, Associate Professor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong congratulated the newly transferred and appointed officials and acknowledged their contributions during their time working at the Department. He urged the officials in their new positions to continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, professional experience, and management capabilities, and to proactively coordinate with leaders, staff, and workers to successfully complete their tasks.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, this appointment aims to further strengthen the organizational structure, arrange personnel appropriately to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, and promote the capabilities, strengths, and experience of the management staff throughout the sector.
