Producer Tuong Vi, director Nguyen Pham Thanh Dat, and the cast from both North and South Vietnam, including Nguyen Hung, Ngoc Xuan, Vo Dien Gia Huy, Huy Tit, Lanh Thanh, Duc Anh, Gonzo, Anh Tu Wilson, Oanh Kieu, and Hong Ma, reunited. Miss Vietnam - actress Tieu Vy, however, missed the film crew's appearance due to her busy schedule working on a secret "farm," and will meet the audience at the film's premiere in early November.

A unique story on Vietnamese screens.
Following the previously released trailer and behind-the-scenes footage, the "Flying Dairy Cow" film crew revealed more scenes and the soundtrack music video at the press conference. This gave viewers a deeper insight into the film's nostalgic yet incredibly youthful and surreal world . These initial images and excerpts suggest that "Flying Dairy Cow" promises to be a fast-paced, powerful, and energetic film created by a Gen Z team.
In a film market dominated by formulaic movies, "Flying Cow" stands out as a unique gem, with its storytelling blend of realism, romance, and fantasy, along with a dramatic atmosphere that sometimes makes it seem like "everything could go crazy" as the characters journey.

Director Nguyen Pham Thanh Dat said that after his short film "Wooden Fish" gained considerable popularity, he received many offers to direct his first feature film. After much deliberation, he chose a project that was meaningful to himself and his hometown, telling a story about Moc Chau , where he was born and raised.
The Gen Z filmmaker explained: “In the 1990s, many things happened at the Moc Chau farm. The script for 'Flying Dairy Cow' is inspired by some real events, but I wanted to tell those real stories with a fictional twist. The challenge for me was how to balance those two elements. I consulted many workers from that era to select the most interesting details for the film. As an audience member, I had the mindset that I needed to find an experience that couldn't be found elsewhere. I wanted to bring those experiences to the audience.”

Vo Dien Gia Huy, Nguyen Hung, and Huy Tit spent three nights 'struggling' with the car racing scene.
At the press conference, the film crew screened a clip that was both dramatic and humorous, showing the Trau brothers (Nguyen Hung) committing a daring heist and being pursued by the notorious gangster Quan (Vo Dien Gia Huy). Set against the backdrop of the dark night in the Moc Chau plateau, the scene delivered a sense of adventure and suspense on the big screen, along with unexpected large-scale fight sequences.
However, Vo Dien Gia Huy admitted that he wasn't scared, only excited when he stepped onto the set. The actor shared: "Huy really likes challenging scenes, he's not afraid of anything. On the first day in Moc Chau, Huy practiced driving so the film crew could test the equipment, and he ended up driving off a cliff. A few days later, Ngoc Xuan practiced driving a truck and also drove off in the same spot."

Vo Dien Gia Huy revealed that the filming took place over three consecutive nights on the dark and difficult-to-navigate roads of Moc Chau. Prior to filming, the cast rehearsed multiple times during the day to familiarize themselves with the routes, making acting easier.
As for Nguyen Hung, he wasn't worried about himself but rather about the stunt performers supporting the scene. He said, "I felt normal inside the car, but the stunt performers around me were in danger."
Nguyen Hung was once afraid of playing the lead role in "Flying Dairy Cow".
Having played the male lead in three films directed by Nguyen Pham Thanh Dat, from the short films "Wooden Fish" and "Milk Residue" to the feature film "Flying Dairy Cow," singer-songwriter Nguyen Hung confessed that he felt immense pressure and hesitated to accept the role of Trau. He confided that he felt pressured when he first played the lead role in a feature film. From the moment he heard the director explain the film's concept, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to handle the action scenes and worried about not being able to speak with a proper Northern accent. "I was afraid I couldn't express what was in my heart if I had to fake a Northern accent. I deliberately tried to 'pass' the role to Huy Tit and Vo Dien Gia Huy. Then, when I received the news that all three of them had roles, and I was the lead, I was devastated, but Dat persuaded me to accept the role."

Having previously made a strong impression as a muse with her sweet beauty and flowing long hair in "Once Upon a Love Story" and "Get Rich with Ghosts 2," Ngoc Xuan transforms in "Flying Dairy Cow," appearing with a stylish short haircut. The actress revealed that it took her quite a long time to get approval for this look.
According to Ngoc Xuan's explanation, San in the film was sent to study in Cuba, doing research, and needed a personality different from the young girls in Moc Chau at that time. Therefore, she thought of short hair. This was also an opportunity for her to get a short haircut like her idol Anne Hathaway in the blockbuster "Interstellar," as she had long wished.

Following the viral hit song "Packing My Heart as a Gift," the film "Flying Dairy Cow" released its second theme song, "Falling in Love," at the press conference. The simple, lively lyrics and catchy melody created a youthful and vibrant atmosphere at the event, promising to create more hits for Vpop in the near future.
The filmmaking team and cast hope that "Flying Cow" can reach a wider audience and be well-received when it premieres on November 6, 2026.
