On the afternoon of October 3rd, the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen Ward, in coordination with the Gia An Real Estate Management, Exploitation and Operation Company Limited Branch, implemented the "Digital Transformation in the Management and Sorting of Household Solid Waste at Source" model at Moonbay Residence apartment building, No. 384 Le Thanh Tong Street.
The Moonbay Residence Management Board has established an "Electronic Environmental Register," connecting data between the local government, the apartment building management board, and Hai Phong Urban Environment Company Limited, to support management work.

Fifty-one surveillance cameras have been installed in the garbage disposal areas on each floor and at the entrances to the utility stairwells in the apartment complex. Images captured by these cameras, showing how each apartment sorts its waste, will be updated in the "Electronic Environmental Handbook" to monitor and promptly remind or address any non-compliance.
The management board of Moonbay Residence has equipped the building with nearly 170 specialized trash bins of different colors, placed on each floor, and 6 collection vehicles to strictly control the waste sorting and collection process. They have also distributed posters to each household to raise awareness and encourage residents to comply with legal regulations on sorting solid waste at source.

All household waste generated is sorted right at the apartments or business premises into groups: organic waste, recyclable waste, and inorganic waste. The sorted waste is then collected at fixed times and transported to a designated collection area and then to the processing facility.
The goal of implementing this model at Moonbay Residence in 2026 is to strive for 100% of households to properly sort their waste. The rate of sorting organic and recyclable waste should reach 52% or higher; and the criteria of maintaining absolutely no waste in the corridors, lobbies, and sidewalks should be strictly maintained, with no waste left overnight.

The "Digital Transformation in the Management and Sorting of Household Solid Waste at Source" model at Moonbay Residence is the first pilot model in Ngo Quyen Ward. This solution helps to ensure transparency and synchronization of information between the government, the operating unit, and the residents. This contributes to the effective implementation of environmental sanitation regulations.
