In his report to the General Meeting, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVCFC, Van Tien Thanh, emphasized that PVCFC focuses on three main areas: fertilizer production and trading; industrial gases and chemicals related to fertilizers; and biotechnology and post-harvest processing. The Corporation aims to develop from a foundation in fertilizer production to providing comprehensive solutions in the agricultural value chain, applying technology and expanding into areas with the potential to create new growth drivers.

By 2050, PVCFC aims to become a leading integrated agro-biotechnology enterprise in the region, playing a central role in the sustainable agricultural value chain in Vietnam and the region.

One important item agreed upon by shareholders was the amendment and supplementation of Contract No. 3918/HĐ-DKVN on the sale and purchase of gas between PVCFC and PV GAS, bringing the Nam Du - U Minh gas source into the scope of the contract. This provides a basis for the parties to implement the next steps, aiming to ensure a stable and long-term supply of raw materials for the urea production of the Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant.

In addition, the Congress approved amendments and additions to business lines, including the addition of industrial gas in line with the industrial gas production and trading project at the Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant; and the addition of support services related to transportation, creating a legal framework for organizing and developing logistics to serve the supply chain in the future.

Strengthening the organizational structure to meet development requirements in the new phase.

Notably, the adjustments made by PVCFC focus on improving governance quality in line with OECD best practices, clarifying shareholder rights, the role and responsibilities of the Board of Directors; strengthening risk management, sustainable development management, and information transparency.

The improvement of the governance system creates a foundation suitable for the role of the Corporation as PVCFC's scale, scope of operations, and value chain expand, while also supporting the implementation of its long-term development orientation until 2050.

Building on the improved governance model, PVCFC continues to strengthen its leadership structure to meet the development requirements of the new phase. The General Meeting elected Mr. Pham Van Phong (born in 1977, PhD in Chemical Engineering, Master of Petrochemical Technology) as an additional member of the PVCFC Board of Directors for the term 2026 - 2031.

With the contents unanimously approved by shareholders, the 2026 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders has further refined important foundations regarding strategy, raw materials, governance, and human resources for PVCFC. This forms the basis for PVCFC to gradually realize its orientation towards 2050, expand its growth potential, and enhance its competitiveness in the next phase.
