The Organizing Committee and the award-winning authors pose for a commemorative photo.

These competitions are part of a series of activities implementing a pilot model for community-based tourism development linked to promoting Southern Vietnamese folk music and developing OCOP (One Commune One Product) products in the locality. Through this, the locality aims to awaken love for the homeland, introduce the beauty of nature, people, and riverine culture, and at the same time enhance the promotion of Thoi Son tourism to tourists inside and outside the province.

Poet Truong Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations and a member of the Judging Panel, presented awards at the 2026 Thoi Son Tourism Experience and Composition Writing Contest.

Following the launch, the competitions attracted hundreds of entries, including articles and design samples. Many works showcased vivid perspectives on the landscape, life, and culture of Thoi Son islet; notably highlighting traditional folk music performances, OCOP products, tourism activities, and visitor experiences.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai, Vice Chairman of the Thoi Son Ward People's Committee, affirmed: Organizing these competitions not only creates a playground for those who love photography, creative writing, and design, but also contributes to creating more resources for communication and tourism promotion; linking the development of riverine eco-tourism with the preservation and promotion of the artistic value of Southern Vietnamese folk music and introducing characteristic OCOP products of the locality.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Mai, Vice Chairperson of the Thoi Son Ward People's Committee, presented the first prize in the online photo contest to author Cao Lap Duc.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded prizes to authors with outstanding works. For the online photo contest "Thoi Son in a New Day," the prize structure includes 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 10 Consolation Prizes, and 1 prize for the most popular work. In the creative writing and experience-sharing section, there is 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, and 3 Consolation Prizes; in the brochure design section, there is 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, and 2 Consolation Prizes.

A notable aspect of the program is that the winning entries are geared towards practical application. The winning brochures, featuring bilingual Vietnamese-English content and integrated mini-tourism maps, will be handed over to the Thoi Son Ward Public Service Center for printing, digitization using QR codes, and distribution to visitors.

Cao Lap Duc's photograph "Thoi Son Rowing Boat" won first prize in the online photo contest.

Through these two competitions, Thoi Son ward continues to diversify its communication methods, exploiting local cultural values to enrich tourism products, gradually enhancing the attractiveness of the destination and promoting sustainable community tourism development.
