Sharing in the great joy of Quang Ninh becoming a city, the family of Ms. Vi Thi Lien (Trang Luong area, Binh Khe ward) felt even more heartwarming and happy as they moved into their new home.

The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front of Binh Khe ward and Company 91 (19th Army Corps) handed over a Solidarity House to the family of Ms. Vi Thi Lien, Trang Luong area (sixth from the left).
Mrs. Lien's family is among the most disadvantaged households in the locality. Her husband passed away early due to illness, and she and her children all have poor health and no stable jobs. For many years, her family has lived in a severely dilapidated single-story house, posing a safety risk, but they are unable to improve the situation themselves.
To share the difficulties faced by Ms. Lien's family, in May 2026, the Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front of Binh Khe ward mobilized Company 91 (19th Army Corps) to provide funding for the construction of a new house. After more than three months of intensive construction, by mid-September 2026, the 70m2 house was completed and put into use. The total construction cost of the house was 410 million VND, of which Company 91 contributed 80 million VND, and the rest was contributed by the family, relatives, and the local community.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Khiem, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Khe Ward, said: Responding to the special emulation campaign to celebrate Quang Ninh becoming a city, the ward registered to build and renovate four "Great Solidarity" houses for disadvantaged households. With strong political determination and the enthusiastic support of businesses and organizations, the ward has now completed all four projects with a total support cost of 420 million VND. These sturdy homes not only help families settle down and work confidently to improve their quality of life, but also spread the spirit of mutual support and compassion, affirming the responsibility and sharing of the entire community towards those in difficult circumstances.

Officials from the Women's Union of Phong Coc ward are mobilizing members to maintain environmental hygiene along the "Great Unity" road, alley 73, Phu Xuan street, Nam Hoa neighborhood.
In Phong Coc ward, in response to the special emulation campaign, the Fatherland Front of the ward registered two practical projects: the Zalo OA and the "Great Unity" road at alley 73, Phu Xuan street, Nam Hoa neighborhood. To date, both projects have been completed and put into use to serve the people. The "Great Unity" road project has created a highlight for the urban landscape, maintaining a clean and green environment, while spreading a civilized lifestyle and strongly promoting the spirit of self-governance among the people in the residential area.
Mr. Duong Van Thanh, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Phong Coc Ward, said: The 800-meter-long road, which passes through 36 households, has been paved with asphalt and looks neat, but in recent times, there have still been problems with illegally dumped waste and weeds growing on both sides of the road, causing an unsightly appearance.
Faced with this situation, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward directed the Front Work Committee of Nam Hoa neighborhood to coordinate with the Party Committee, the government, and various mass organizations to actively propagate and mobilize the people to work together to protect the living environment. As a result, 100% of households voluntarily contributed over 6 million VND to equip 36 new trash cans, neatly arranged in each family. Besides raising awareness of proper waste collection, residents also voluntarily participated in the "Green Sunday" movement, keeping the streets clean and tidy.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Luong (house number 29, alley 73, Nam Hoa neighborhood, Phong Coc ward) shared: "We residents are extremely proud that the street in our neighborhood has been designated as a project celebrating Quang Ninh becoming a city. We always remind each other to maintain environmental hygiene and work together to build a green, clean, and beautiful living space worthy of the city's new stature."
The special emulation campaign to celebrate Quang Ninh becoming a city received widespread support, with 481 projects and tasks registered from localities. Of these, 171 of the most practical projects directly benefited the people, ranging from social welfare care and urban upgrading to digital transformation of the community, maintaining security and order, and promoting local cultural identity. Each completed project is a significant milestone celebrating Quang Ninh's city status, and serves as proof of social consensus, providing further motivation and affirming the strength of national unity.
