
At the conference, the City's National Assembly Delegation provided voters with an overview of the planned agenda for the 2nd Session of the 16th National Assembly. The 2nd Session of the 16th National Assembly will take place from October 20th to November 30th and will be divided into two phases. The session will consider and approve 44 projects, provide feedback on one draft law; and consider and decide on socio- economic , financial, budgetary, oversight, and other important issues. The City's National Assembly Delegation also reported on the results of addressing voter petitions from Quang Ninh province submitted to the 1st Session of the 16th National Assembly.

After hearing information about the session, many voters submitted opinions to the City's National Assembly Delegation with contents such as: Requesting the National Assembly and the Government to direct the control of prices of consumer goods; reviewing Decree No. 126/2024/ND-CP and related documents to ensure consistency with the two-tier government model; the National Assembly and the Government to research, review, amend, and supplement relevant regulations, aiming to simplify or exempt the investment approval procedures for individuals engaged in small-scale aquaculture with an area not exceeding 5 hectares, in order to reduce administrative procedures and create conditions for people to stabilize their livelihoods; the National Assembly and the Government to direct the review and improvement of compensation and land clearance policies for project acquisition, aiming for greater uniformity and fairness for agricultural land allocated and leased.

In addition, delegates proposed that the Government continue to review, evaluate, and study ways to increase allowances, operational funding support, and the concurrent duty regime for village officials to better suit the specific characteristics of each locality, creating conditions for Party branch secretaries, village heads, and heads of Fatherland Front committees to work with peace of mind, be committed to the grassroots, and perform their duties well; they also suggested that relevant ministries and agencies strengthen management and strictly handle the situation of fraudulent advertising, trading in counterfeit and substandard goods on the internet; and combat and dismantle high-tech crime rings and online fraud schemes.


Following the voters' opinions expressed at the conference, on behalf of the city's People's Committee leadership, Mr. Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, directly addressed and clarified some issues of concern to voters that fall within the local authority's jurisdiction.
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Ngo Van Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Minister of Finance, congratulated Quang Ninh on becoming the leading city in the country in economic growth during the first nine months; he also provided information and clarified some achievements in several fields and outlined macroeconomic directions for the coming period, creating stability for the people and businesses.

Comrade Quan Minh Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation, respectfully thanked and fully and comprehensively accepted the heartfelt and responsible opinions and suggestions of the voters. Emphasizing that Quang Ninh is entering a new stage of development, Comrade Quan Minh Cuong affirmed that the City's National Assembly Delegation will continue to stand alongside the Party Committee, government, and people of Quang Ninh; uphold the role and responsibility of elected representatives, effectively acting as a bridge between voters and the National Assembly, and fully reflecting the voices, thoughts, and aspirations of the people to the parliamentary arena.

The comrade requested that every cadre and Party member continue to uphold a high sense of responsibility, constantly strive, act decisively and effectively, and work together to maintain the momentum of economic development, care for the people's lives, preserve and promote cultural values, protect the environment, and aim for rapid and sustainable development and improve the quality of life for the people.
