The series of activities on October 10th began with a flag-raising ceremony, marking Stage 7 and the closing of the "I Love My Homeland" journey at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, with the expected participation of approximately 1,200 Youth Union officials, members, and young people from various provinces, cities, and Hanoi.

Launched in May 2026, the "I Love My Homeland" journey connects historical and cultural landmarks and revolutionary sites across the country. Various levels of the Association have organized numerous activities including flag-raising ceremonies, incense offerings, paying tribute to families of policy beneficiaries and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, supporting disadvantaged youth, educating on traditions, and raising awareness about national sovereignty over the sea, islands, and borders.

According to statistics, the campaign has implemented 3,100 flag-raising ceremonies at landmarks, historical sites, and revolutionary sites, attracting more than 530,000 members and young people; carried out 1,050 youth projects and organized 2,518 activities to visit historical and cultural sites, attracting more than 7.9 million members and young people.

Nearly 1,700 activities were organized to express gratitude, interact with historical witnesses, and present gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Approximately 86,000 gifts and scholarships were provided to students, young people, and people in difficult circumstances, with the total value of these projects and activities reaching nearly 60 billion VND.

The digital space has also become a powerful channel for disseminating the Journey's message. Over 155,000 inspiring stories and more than 24,000 videos with the theme "I love my homeland" have been created. Content creation activities, including AI-powered applications, attracted nearly 140,000 members and young people. The total social media reach for the Journey reached nearly 1.3 billion.

On October 10th, youth union members and young people will participate in the "Volunteer Saturday" program in Hoan Kiem ward, coinciding with the Liberation Day of Hanoi, aiming to promote the pioneering spirit, volunteerism, and responsibility of young people towards the community.

First-ever "Nguyen Chi Thanh" Award Ceremony

One of the highlights of the series of activities is the 2026 "Youth Living Beautifully" Gala, held on the evening of October 10th at the Military Broadcasting and Television Center. With the theme "Beautiful Stories - Beautiful People - Beautiful Actions," the program is expected to honor 15 outstanding and exemplary young people.

On October 10th and 11th, the Ho Guom pedestrian area also hosted the 70th Anniversary Exhibition of the Vietnam Youth Union, showcasing milestones, movements, programs, projects, and typical activities of generations of Union officials, members, and young people. The exhibition also featured startup products, innovations, digital transformation applications, and cultural products created by young people.

The highlight of the series of activities is the rally commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's founding, the awarding of the "Nguyen Chi Thanh" Prize in 2026, and the Youth Music Festival, which will take place on the evening of October 11th at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.

At the ceremony, the Vietnam Youth Union will receive the First-Class Labor Order, an award recognizing the contributions of generations and strata of Vietnamese youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Notably, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union for the first time awarded the "Nguyen Chi Thanh" Prize - an award named after General Nguyen Chi Thanh, the Union's first President - to 70 outstanding and exemplary Youth Union officials.

The grand concert and the story of love for the homeland.

The program concludes with the 2026 Youth Music Festival. According to Mr. Le Hai Long, the program's unique feature lies in its organization of the artistic space, with a continuous narrative consisting of three chapters, focusing on connecting the audience's emotions with the traditions of the Association and love for the homeland.

The organizers also identified the spirit of "Honoring Vietnamese Values" as one of the elements that would make the Grand Music Festival memorable. Accordingly, 100% of the songs used in the program are compositions by Vietnamese musicians, thereby conveying the message "I love my homeland".

The program features many artists and singers popular with young people, such as Hoa Minzy, Erik, Nguyen Tran Trung Quan, Vo Ha Tram, Hoang Bach, Dong Hung, Ha Myo, Bao Tram, OPlus group, and other artists.

The stage is designed in the Ho Guom area, on a large scale, to accommodate tens of thousands of spectators. The organizers plan to release approximately 2,000 tickets through online registration. The application of electronic tickets carrying a patriotic message is also identified as a highlight, contributing to spreading the spirit of the Grand Music Festival to students even before the program takes place.

According to Mr. Le Hai Long, the appearance of young singers and child singers who grew up in the Youth Union and Children's Union movements alongside established artists demonstrates the spirit of inheritance and continuity between generations, while also contributing to nurturing ideals and love for the homeland among young people.

The series of activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam Youth Union's founding aims to educate young people about traditions, awaken their pride, patriotism, and dedication; and at the same time, create an environment for young people to interact, develop their creative abilities, and affirm their role in socio-economic development, innovation, and international integration.

After 70 years of construction and development, the Vietnam Youth Union continues to affirm the role and position of youth in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The Union has over 9 million members, bringing together a large number of Vietnamese youth both at home and abroad.
