Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha said that Resolution No. 80 of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture unanimously chose November 24th every year as Vietnamese Culture Day.
Culture is not only present in historical sites, festivals, or works of art, but it also needs to contribute to fostering national pride, strengthening national unity, and promoting a cultured and civilized way of life.
Hanoi has a favorable foundation for achieving this goal with its thousand-year-old cultural tradition and rich heritage system. Thang Long culture, through its interaction with the cultural regions of Xu Doai, Xu Dong, Kinh Bac, and Son Nam Thuong, has contributed to creating the distinctive cultural identity of the capital city.
The city is oriented towards cultural development in the spirit of "Culture - Identity - Creativity - Integration - Connection," combining the preservation and promotion of heritage values, tradition and modernity, while connecting the cultural essence of different regions.
