According to TASS, citing a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, the country's armed forces continue to carry out systematic and consistent attacks on military facilities in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities in response to actions that Moscow alleges target Russian civilians and infrastructure.
The statement noted that those who ignore the warning will be held fully responsible for any adverse consequences that may occur.
The Russian Foreign Ministry reiterated that Moscow had previously urged foreign citizens and diplomats in Kyiv to leave the city and to avoid traveling to Ukraine. Russia also urged Ukrainian citizens to stay away from military and administrative infrastructure.
"The warning was included in the statement of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 25, 2026, in notes sent to foreign partners, and was also given by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin at a press conference for diplomatic missions on May 27, 2026," the statement read.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also reiterated that the authorities of several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, member states of the European Union (EU), Norway, and Switzerland, have repeatedly advised their citizens against traveling to Ukraine, most recently in August.
"We have observed that not everyone is complying with these recommendations, and some are deliberately putting themselves in life-threatening situations. Many embassies continue to operate in Kyiv, while foreign officials continue to travel to Ukraine," the statement said.
The Russian Foreign Ministry concluded: "The Russian armed forces will continue to carry out large-scale retaliatory attacks."
