The Ford Ranger SUPER DUTY Single Cab Chassis is manufactured at the AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) plant in Rayong, designed for heavy-duty off-road transport and operation. In the Thai market, the vehicle has a list price of 1,464,000 baht (approximately 1.13 billion VND). The Ranger SUPER DUTY Double Cab 4-door version is priced at 1,599,000 baht (approximately 1.23 billion VND). The Ranger SUPER DUTY Single Cab Chassis uses a 3.0L turbocharged V6 diesel engine with a displacement of 2,993 cc, producing a maximum power of 210 horsepower at 3,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The engine is paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and a 4A-4WD all-wheel drive system, supporting 4H and 4L modes. The vehicle meets Euro 6 emission standards and can use B20 biodiesel fuel. Ford equips the Ranger SUPER DUTY Single Cab Chassis with seven driving modes: Normal, ECO, Tow-Haul, Slippery, Mud-Ruts, Sand, and Rock Crawl, designed for performance in a variety of terrain conditions and load types. A notable feature of the Ranger SUPER DUTY is its uniquely developed chassis, not shared with the standard Ranger. The new chassis is larger, thicker, and weighs approximately 70-80 kg more. The vehicle uses a Double Wishbone independent front suspension with coil springs and a stabilizer bar, while the rear features a longer and thicker four-leaf spring system. The cabin of the Single Cab Chassis version is equipped with cloth seats, 4-way manually adjustable front seats, an e-Shifter electronic gear selector, an electronic parking brake with Auto Brake Hold, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The entertainment system includes an 8-inch digital instrument panel and a 12-inch touchscreen central display, supporting SYNC 4, Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. The vehicle also features wireless phone charging and Upfitter Switches for connecting dedicated devices. Safety features include ABS, EBD, BA, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, rollover risk monitoring, blind spot warning, automatic emergency braking, reverse brake assist, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and Stop&Go... Off-road assistance systems such as Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist, Pro-Trailer Backup Assist, and On-Board Scale display real-time load levels. Electronic differential locks are fitted to both the front and rear axles. The number of shock absorber mounting points has been increased from 3 to 4, while the four-wheel disc brake system has been upgraded to meet the demands of carrying heavy loads. The fuel tank capacity has increased from 80 to 130 liters. According to published information, the vehicle can achieve a minimum range of approximately 1,000 km per tank of fuel, even when using the 4-wheel drive system continuously. The Ranger SUPER DUTY Single Cab Chassis weighs approximately 2,512-2,675 kg and has a maximum payload of 2,060 kg. The gross vehicle weight (GVM) reaches a maximum of 4,500 kg, significantly higher than the 3,200-3,300 kg of the standard Ranger. Maximum towing capacity also increases to 4,500 kg, while the gross vehicle-to-trailer weight (GCM) reaches a maximum of 8,000 kg. The vehicle has a ground clearance of approximately 296-299 mm depending on published information and a maximum wading depth of 850 mm. To meet the demands of heavy-duty off-road operation, the vehicle is equipped with LT275/70 R18 off-road tires, 18-inch steel wheels, a steel front bumper directly attached to the chassis, and support for a 12,000 lb (approximately 5.4-ton) winch. 3.6 mm thick steel underbody protection plates are positioned in the front, front axle, transmission, and drivetrain areas.
