Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , along with leaders of departments and units of Nhan Dan Newspaper, received the delegation of Google leaders.

The Google delegation includes senior leaders responsible for artificial intelligence (AI) transformation, technology, infrastructure, and human resource development.

Bart Higgins, co-CEO of Future Perfect X and representative of the Google delegation, stated that the trip aimed to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam, from its culture and people to its socio-economic development pace; and to listen to experiences and initiatives that are contributing to the country's new momentum.

Appreciating Vietnam's rapid development, the Google delegation members were particularly interested in the role of the younger generation, changes in information consumption behavior, and how Nhan Dan Newspaper promotes innovation, builds trust, and applies technology in journalistic activities.

During the exchange with the delegation, Comrade Le Quoc Minh stated that Nhan Dan Newspaper is stepping up investment in digital platforms and has identified AI as one of the important pillars in the process of innovating the newsroom.

Innovate the way you deliver your message to be closer to your younger audience.

According to Comrade Le Quoc Minh, the development of social media is dramatically changing how the public, especially young people, access information. In this context, the press needs to uphold its core values and messages, but must innovate its methods of presentation to better suit the needs of readers.

In recent times, Nhan Dan Newspaper has increased its production of digital products, videos , short content, and expanded its presence on suitable platforms. The process of innovating its delivery methods has always been linked to the requirement of ensuring accurate and reliable information, while simultaneously creating appeal for the public.

Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh shared this at the meeting.

One of the areas of interest for the Google delegation was how Nhan Dan Newspaper combines traditional print journalism with technology and interactive experiences. To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Nhan Dan Newspaper launched a panorama supplement, allowing readers to piece together newspaper pages into a panoramic picture, while also using their phones to experience interactive content.

This approach continues to be developed in many special media products associated with major national events, such as the publication commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; the exhibition "The Glorious Name of the Great Leader"; the special supplement commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd; and the political and artistic program "The Homeland in Our Hearts".

The products focus on combining journalistic content with visual design, technology, and interactive experiences, thereby bringing historical, cultural, and political topics closer to the public, especially the younger generation.

Editor-in-Chief Le Quoc Minh shared about the special supplement of Nhan Dan Newspaper on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2nd (1945-2025).

In response to a question from a Google representative about the potential for creating new appeal for print newspapers during the digital transformation process, Mr. Le Quoc Minh stated that combining technology with a tangible product that readers can hold in their hands creates a different experience. This approach also shows that print newspapers and technology are not necessarily opposed, but can complement each other to expand public reach.

Members of the Google delegation expressed their admiration for the innovative ideas and experimental approach to new formats adopted by Nhan Dan Newspaper. According to a representative of the delegation, in the context of traditional journalism facing numerous challenges in maintaining public interest, the combination of various formats and methods of delivery is a noteworthy experience.

Putting information quality and people at the center.

During the meeting, Google representatives also discussed the challenge of maintaining public trust while meeting the ever-increasing demands for faster information delivery.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh stated that while social media provides a rich source of information, it also increases the risk of misinformation and fake news. This necessitates that mainstream media continue to improve the quality, accuracy, and ability to provide reliable and useful information to the public.

For current news coverage, Nhan Dan Newspaper is employing web-first, social-first, and mobile-first approaches, prioritizing the rapid delivery of information to the public on digital platforms. Meanwhile, the print newspaper focuses more on in-depth articles, reports, investigations, and stories with lasting value, rather than chasing the speed of news flow.

Representatives from the Google leadership team attended the meeting.

AI was also a key topic of discussion between the two sides. Nhan Dan Newspaper aims to gradually build an AI-native newsroom model, in which it will test artificial intelligence tools to support reporters in gathering and processing information, as well as operating the content management system.

According to Comrade Le Quoc Minh, the application of AI needs to go hand in hand with the training of human resources and mechanisms for verifying information. Technology can support improved operational efficiency, but people and the quality of information must still play a central role in journalistic activities.

During the meeting, Mr. Le Quoc Minh expressed his desire for Google to strengthen exchanges and share experiences, and to explore avenues for cooperation with Nhan Dan Newspaper in the fields of journalism, professional training, technology, and testing new products.
