Over 1,600 hectares of crops are submerged in water.
The heavy rains and floods in recent days (October 2-6) have inundated approximately 1,636 hectares of various crops. Specifically, Bac Ruong commune has about 1,313 hectares of rice fields flooded; Cat Tien 2 commune has 243 hectares flooded, including 170 hectares of rice, 2 hectares of sugarcane, and 71 hectares of perennial crops. Cat Tien commune has 74 hectares of flooded rice fields, and Lang Biang ward in Da Lat has recorded about 6 hectares of flowers and vegetables submerged by floodwaters. Currently, some low-lying areas along the river remain flooded, affecting agricultural production and the lives of local people.

According to preliminary statistics, the floods affected 55 houses, with 54 flooded and one damaged by a fallen tree. Local authorities have relocated 41 households to safe areas.
In B'Lao ward, 11 households were affected by flooding; in Bao Lam 2 commune, approximately 40 households were affected. Authorities, in coordination with local governments, assisted residents in relocating themselves and their belongings, arranging safe accommodation, and providing essential supplies.
Notably, at the Doi Dep Tourist Area, located at 27 Cao Thang Street, B'Lao Ward, water flooded the gate area, causing approximately 25 meters of the fence to collapse and about 20 meters of the fence base to erode. Several cracks appeared in some areas, the electronic gate was damaged; the guesthouse and fish pond were also flooded. Approximately 30 tourists were safely evacuated.

In Xuan Truong ward, Da Lat, a truck was swept away by the current while crossing Xuan Thanh stream and became stuck in the middle of the stream on the afternoon of October 6th. Fortunately, the three people in the truck managed to escape unharmed; the vehicle was later towed ashore by rescue forces.
Many roads are damaged by landslides, and infrastructure is in disrepair.
Heavy rains caused landslides and subsidence on many roads and residential areas. In Cat Tien 2 commune alone, five landslide locations were recorded. Specifically, on provincial road DT.721 in Phuoc Cat 2 village, soil and rocks spilled onto the road surface for approximately 100 meters, and fallen trees obstructed traffic. Several inter-village roads in Cat Luong, Duc Pho, Cat Dien, and Cat An also experienced landslides, affecting travel and posing potential safety risks.
In Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat, a landslide occurred on Ly Tu Trong street, spanning approximately 10 meters in length and 1.5 meters in height, damaging four motorbikes. A house also suffered a wall collapse, with earth and rocks flooding into the property.

Lac Duong commune recorded a landslide on the embankment, approximately 30 meters long, on the road from National Highway 27C to the administrative and service area of Bidoup - Nuoi Ba National Park.
In Nhan Co commune, a 40-meter section of concrete road has collapsed and subsided. In Bac Ruong commune, there are five landslide sections along a road, totaling about 100 meters in length, along with two riverbank landslide points approximately 70 meters long.

At the Dai Nga Hydropower Plant and Tan Lac Bridge area in B'Lao ward, water overflowed the plant's gate, affecting traffic at the bridgehead. Authorities coordinated efforts to remove obstructions to the water flow and repair the damaged electric gate; preliminary damage estimates are approximately 17 million VND.
In addition, lightning struck the headquarters of the Dong Kho Commune People's Committee, causing damage to many pieces of equipment, including 3 scanners, 7 computer CPUs, 4 printers, 3 air conditioners, the internet network system, and some other equipment.
The total damage caused by the floods in the province is initially estimated at approximately 16 billion VND.

Given the complex weather developments, authorities forecast that in the next 24 hours, many localities will continue to experience moderate to heavy rain; the risk of landslides in hilly areas and areas with weak geological foundations, and flooding in low-lying areas, remains present.

Local authorities are maintaining a 24/7 duty roster, closely monitoring weather developments, and reviewing residential areas along rivers and streams, as well as high-risk areas, to proactively evacuate residents. Simultaneously, functional forces are placing warning signs, diverting traffic, and temporarily prohibiting people and vehicles from passing through dangerous landslide areas; mobilizing personnel and equipment to clear waterways, remove debris, and repair damaged roads.

Inspection and operation of irrigation and hydropower reservoirs have also been strengthened according to proper procedures to ensure the safety of the structures and limit flooding in downstream areas. Local authorities continue to assess damage, support people in stabilizing their lives, and implement response measures to minimize damage if heavy rains continue.
