Rainfall amounts from 7 AM to 3 PM on October 6th exceeded 70mm in some places, such as at Sen Thuy station (Quang Tri) with 195.0mm and Ho Hoa Khe station (Da Nang city) with 74.0mm.
Forecasts indicate that from the evening of October 6th to October 8th, the area from the south of Quang Tri province to Da Nang city and the east of Quang Ngai province will experience heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 100-200mm, and locally exceeding 300mm; specifically, the area from Hue city to Da Nang city will generally receive 200-400mm, with locally exceeding 600mm.

Additionally, on the evening and night of October 6th, the northern part of Quang Tri province, the western part of Quang Ngai province, the area from Gia Lai to Lam Dong, and the Southern region will experience showers and scattered thunderstorms with rainfall generally ranging from 10-30mm, and locally heavy rain exceeding 70mm.
On the night of October 8th and throughout October 9th, the area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang city experienced moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 40-80mm, and locally very heavy rain exceeding 150mm. This widespread heavy rain is tending to expand northward and may continue until around October 10th-11th.

Flood warning issued for rivers from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai.
According to the meteorological agency, water levels in rivers in Quang Tri and Hue City are currently rising; while water levels in Da Nang and Quang Ngai cities are fluctuating slightly. At 1 PM on October 6th, the water level on the Perfume River (Hue City) at the Kim Long station was 0.96m, 0.04m below alarm level 1; water levels in other rivers remain below alarm level 1.
From today (October 6th) to October 9th, a flood is likely to occur on rivers from Quang Tri to eastern Quang Ngai.
During this flood event, flood peaks on rivers from Quang Tri to Hue City are likely to reach alarm level 1 to alarm level 2, with some rivers exceeding alarm level 2; specifically, the Kien Giang and Thach Han rivers (Quang Tri) are likely to reach alarm level 3; rivers in Da Nang City and eastern Quang Ngai will fluctuate around alarm level 1. The heavy rain and flooding in this area are likely to continue for the next few days.
Provinces/cities from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai should be on high alert for the risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers and in urban areas, as well as flash floods and landslides on slopes.
