Que Tran reminisces about the time she performed with Kim Tieu Long.

Recently, Kim Tiểu Long has frequently participated in several cultural and artistic programs organized by Quế Trân to raise funds for impoverished artists.

Kim Tieu Long and Que Tran: A perfect match.

Kim Tiểu Long's live show won't take place until early January 2027, but he's already making extensive preparations to ensure a memorable performance marking his 35-year singing career.

The live show titled "Flow of Sound - The Voice of Meritorious Artist Kim Tiểu Long" will take place at the Hòa Bình Theater.

From the very beginning of planning the live show, Kim Tieu Long immediately thought of his younger sister Que Tran. The reason is that they have been close for nearly 30 years.

Que Tran told Tuoi Tre newspaper that she won the gold medal at the Tran Huu Trang Award in 1999 when she was only 18 years old. This is a prestigious award in the Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) world, continuing the tradition of the Thanh Tam Award before 1975.

Around the year 2000, the Tran Huu Trang Theatre staged the play "Y Ban and the Fairy," featuring young actors who had won gold medals at the Tran Huu Trang Awards. Kim Tieu Long also participated in the play that year.

That was also the first time she and Kim Tieu Long met and collaborated in a play. Afterwards, for some reason, impresario Duy Ngoc really liked them, saying that Que Tran and Kim Tieu Long were a perfect match, so he often arranged for them to sing together in shows.

"I remember back then, whenever impresario Duy Ngoc asked us to sing, he always reminded my brother and me to wear white outfits because he said we looked like 'fairy couple'."

"Back then, Long was a handsome leading man, resembling Korean actors. Uncle Ngoc said that when we sang together on stage, we shone brightly," - Que Tran reminisced about the early days of collaborating with Kim Tieu Long.

Those days of traveling to gigs by motorbike.

Those were the heyday of variety shows. Que Tran said that back then, she and Kim Tieu Long performed several shows a day. They performed not only in city center venues but also in Thu Duc and Binh Duong.

Back then, times were tough, so they traveled to gigs on motorbikes. Later, when Kim Tieu Long managed to buy a car, he was overjoyed and immediately showed it to Que Tran, even telling her to stay home while he drove over to pick her up and they went to gigs together.

"At that time, I was juggling performing and studying, so I could only really meet Long at work. In everyday life, we didn't have time to hang out or have coffee together."

"Even though we only worked together, we really cherished each other. Long is kind-hearted, straightforward, and lovely, so we've maintained a long-lasting relationship," Quế Trân shared about Kim Tiểu Long.

She recalled one time when they went to a show quite far away, and even though the audience was very large, the promoter still complained and reduced their pay. Kim Tieu Long saw this and told Que Tran to wait while he went in to reason with her and demand full payment for both of them.

I don't know what "wrong" he did, but when he went out and met Que Tran, Kim Tieu Long scratched his head and said that the organizer said there would be a large audience, but they were all just watching without buying tickets, so he felt sorry for them and sent the organizer extra money for his performance fee!

With so many lovely memories, Quế Trân had to make arrangements to be present at Kim Tiểu Long's special performance.

During the performance, she will transform into My Chau alongside Trong Thuy - played by Kim Tieu Long. Meanwhile, veteran actor Kim Tu Long will play the "parent" role, portraying Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong.
