Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Vice Chairperson of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, spoke at the press conference.

From October 15-21, a series of activities will be organized in Nghia Lo and surrounding areas, including watching Xoe dance, living with the Thai ethnic minority community, exploring the golden harvest season, enjoying Shan Tuyet tea, discovering agriculture , and immersing oneself in local festivals.

Notably, over 2,000 people participated in the grand Xoe dance of solidarity, creating a community highlight in the opening ceremony. This included the application of modern science and technology to Thai Xoe dance art without losing its traditional values.

According to the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Xoe dance circle is a place where people hold hands, regardless of age or social status.

As the drums and gongs resound and the circle of Xòe dance widens, joy, togetherness, and hospitality are passed from one person to another.

Reporter Van Duc - from the Tien Phong Newspaper's Northwest regional office - asked a question at the press conference.

The Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province affirmed that the Muong Lo Festival first focuses on preserving and enhancing the core heritage (6 ancient Xoe dances of the Thai people of Muong Lo).

In this regard, the province has identified the development of this annual festival as a unique tourism product. Therefore, innovation in organization is needed to attract tourists from near and far, but the main focus must be on preserving the unique characteristics of Thai Xoe dance and Muong Lo culture.

Over 2,000 people will participate in a grand, solidarity-themed dance, creating a community highlight in the opening ceremony.

Mr. Yen also added that the stadium where the Xoe dance event will take place has a capacity of about 10,000 people. However, recognizing that the number of visitors attending the festival will be very large, the province has directed the People's Committee of Nghia Lo ward to arrange LED screens in the square area and some central locations so that locals and tourists can fully enjoy the artistic products of the Muong Lo Festival.
