On September 26, 2026, in a program broadcast on VTV1, Vietnam Television (VTV) aired a video titled: "Ensuring Livelihoods for Nearly 200 Small Traders at Kim Lien Market After Relocation," reflecting the situation where the closure of Kim Lien Market left nearly 200 small traders without a place to do business, with many facing difficulties in their livelihoods. Some had to temporarily rent space or sit in front of people's houses or small shops nearby to continue their business. The traders hoped for government support and the arrangement of temporary trading locations while awaiting the construction of a new market.
Regarding this matter, in Official Letter No. 4977/UBND-TTDLCNS dated September 29, 2026, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the city, Vu Dai Thang, assigned the People's Committee of Kim Lien ward to take the lead and coordinate with relevant units to urgently inspect, verify, and clarify the content reflected on VTV1 - Vietnam Television.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang also instructed the Kim Lien Ward People's Committee to research and propose a plan to support and arrange suitable temporary business locations, ensuring compliance with fire safety, security, urban order, environmental sanitation, and relevant regulations; and to promptly resolve and respond to legitimate requests from small traders within their authority, preventing the emergence of hotspots or complex issues in the area.
