Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Thanh commune, Dinh Hong Sam, said: “The construction of the ‘Unity-Prosperity-Happiness’ residential area model aims to promote the leading role of the people, consolidate the great national unity, and create consensus within the community.”
Through this model, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations mobilize people to actively participate in economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, building a cultural life, maintaining security and order, protecting the environment, and helping households in difficult circumstances. Through this, they gradually build civilized and compassionate residential areas so that people can truly enjoy the fruits of local development.”
Implementing the "Unity - Prosperity - Happiness" residential area model, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has coordinated with residential areas to build "Rural Flower Roads," organize "Green Sunday" events, install rural road lighting systems, maintain environmental hygiene, prevent encroachment on roads and sidewalks; and at the same time strengthen grassroots mediation activities, maintain security and order, and effectively implement local regulations and customs.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (MTTQVN) of Tan Thanh commune also encourages households to develop agriculture , livestock farming, small-scale handicrafts, services, and other suitable occupations. Along with this, it mobilizes people to apply science and technology, transform the structure of crops and livestock; coordinates job placement, vocational training, and supports people in accessing legal capital sources to develop production. In particular, the MTTQVN of the commune aims to build and replicate effective household economic models; and encourages people to renovate neglected gardens and build model gardens to increase income.
Implementing the "Unity - Prosperity - Happiness" residential area model, the Tan Son village Front Committee has coordinated with mass organizations to promote propaganda and mobilization, creating consensus among the people. The content of the model is concretized through practical actions, suitable to the actual conditions of the village, from developing family economies, helping each other reduce poverty, building a cultural life to maintaining environmental hygiene, ensuring security and order, and building neighborly solidarity.
Cao Van Anh, head of the Tan Son village's Fatherland Front Committee, said: "Implementing the 'Unity - Prosperity - Happiness' residential area model, we mobilized each household to join hands and contribute to keeping the village roads and alleys clean and beautiful, and to help disadvantaged households develop their economy. These actions, though small, when done uniformly, create a collective strength for the entire community. Through this, the spirit of solidarity in the village is increasingly strengthened, the material and spiritual lives of the people are gradually improved, and the number of poor households in the village has significantly decreased."
Mr. Dinh Xuan Dong, a resident of Tan Son village, shared: “Since the implementation of the ‘Unity-Prosperity-Happiness’ residential area model, the villagers have been very happy and excited. Whenever there are community activities, such as beautifying village roads and alleys, cleaning the environment, or helping disadvantaged families, the villagers always respond enthusiastically. Community spirit has become stronger, and households are more conscious of working together to develop the economy and build culturally rich families.”
The model has contributed to the socio-economic development of the locality. Currently, the entire commune has tens of thousands of livestock and poultry, over 400 bee colonies for honey production, and 2,300 hectares of planted forest… To date, the poverty rate in the commune is only 10.03%. Support policies regarding capital, health insurance, education , housing, and social security for the people are ensured; environmental protection activities, planting trees and flowers, building bright, green, clean, and beautiful roads… continue to be implemented effectively.
