The Tan Thanh commune Party Committee currently has 415 members. Before the new administrative unit came into operation, the work of developing Party members in the old communes, including Hoa Tien, Hoa Thanh, and Hoa Phuc, faced many difficulties. The source of outstanding individuals was limited due to a lack of proper attention, resulting in some Party organizations failing to recruit new members for many years. In some villages, the heads of mass organizations were not Party members...
This reality necessitates innovation in approach, especially in the work of identifying, nurturing, and recruiting new Party members. Cao Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Tan Thanh Commune Party Committee, stated: “From mid-2025 to the present, the commune Party Committee has focused on directing Party branches to review and link the work of developing Party members with emulation movements and socio-economic development tasks. Through practical work, production, and activities, individuals with a sense of responsibility, activeness, and exemplary conduct are identified, monitored, and nurtured for Party membership.”

A notable achievement is that the Party branches in Tan Thanh commune have linked the work of developing Party members with specific movements and tasks at the grassroots level. Through this, they have identified outstanding, active, and responsible individuals to further train and recommend to the Party committee for consideration and admission.
In addition, the commune Party Committee has guided the development of a suitable pool of potential Party members based on the characteristics of each locality, assigning cadres and Party members to monitor and assist outstanding individuals; and directed the Party Committee of Hoa Tien Secondary and High School to select outstanding students to recommend for Party membership training and consideration for admission. As a result, many individuals have actively registered to participate in Party membership training courses, proactively trained, strived, and been considered for admission.
With various solutions implemented, from the beginning of 2026 to the present, the Party Committee of Tan Thanh commune has admitted 14 outstanding individuals into the Party; and granted full Party membership to many probationary members.
"Tested by fire" through the movement.
At the Kien Trinh village Party branch, the identification and nurturing of outstanding individuals is carried out through specific movements and activities in the village. According to the Secretary of the Kien Trinh village Party branch, Dinh Trung Kien, young people who are dynamic, actively participate in community work, have a sense of striving for excellence in labor and production, and demonstrate responsibility towards the community are given attention, monitored, and assigned tasks by the Party branch for training.
“To identify outstanding individuals, we must create an environment where they can showcase themselves. Therefore, the Party branch regularly mobilizes people to participate in production development, reforestation, livestock farming, environmental sanitation, maintaining security and order, and caring for their children's education. Through each specific task, the Party branch assesses the sense of responsibility, exemplary conduct, and ability to mobilize the masses of each individual,” Mr. Dinh Trung Kien shared.
After graduating from high school, Ms. Truong Khanh Linh, from Kien Trinh village, stayed at home to work and produce, and actively participated in local activities. Through her efforts, she was admitted to the Party. “Being a member of the Party is not only an honor but also a responsibility for me. Therefore, I must try harder in work and production, live a exemplary life, and actively participate in movements to be worthy of being a Party member,” Ms. Linh shared.
Not only Ms. Linh, but many young people in Kien Trinh village are also being monitored, nurtured, and given opportunities by the Party branch to strive to join the ranks of the Party. With this approach, from 2025 to the present, the Kien Trinh village Party branch has admitted 5 more Party members, bringing the total number of Party members in the branch to 12.
After being admitted, many new party members in Kien Trinh village in particular, and Tan Thanh commune in general, continued to play an active role in local movements. Some young party members gradually took on positions such as branch secretary, village head, village militia leader, and head of mass organizations; many actively engaged in production and developed their family economies.
According to Cao Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Tan Thanh Commune Party Committee, in the coming time, the commune's Party Committee will continue to direct the Party branches to proactively review and supplement the source of Party development; paying attention to sources among Youth Union members, young people, mass organization officials, outstanding workers, and reputable individuals in the community. Along with that, the Party Committee will also focus on improving the quality of training, development, management, and assignment of tasks for new Party members after their admission.
