According to information from the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary, at the event, Ambassador Bui Le Thai highly appreciated the sustained contributions of the Hungary-Vietnam Friendship Association over the years to maintaining people-to-people exchanges and introducing Vietnam's country, people, and culture to Hungarian friends.

The Ambassador particularly appreciated the members who had been closely associated with Vietnam for decades, including those who had participated in the International Commission overseeing the implementation of the Paris Agreement, who had worked in Vietnam, and who had many profound memories of the country and its people.
According to Ambassador Bui Le Thai, Vietnam always cherishes and remembers the valuable contributions of its Hungarian friends during the years of struggle for independence and national reunification. The sincere feelings nurtured over many generations have created a special foundation for the friendly relations between the two countries.
Given the changes in Vietnam and the world, the Ambassador believes that people-to-people exchanges also need to continue to innovate. Besides traditional activities, the Hungary-Vietnam Friendship Association could expand cultural, educational , and tourism exchanges; strengthen coordination with the Association of Vietnamese People in Hungary and other community organizations; and better utilize media and social networks to bring the image of Vietnam closer to the Hungarian public.
The ambassador emphasized the importance of fostering continuity between generations, attracting more young Hungarians to join the Hungary-Vietnam Friendship Association, encouraging them to learn about Vietnam, and visit Vietnam, thereby continuing the precious sentiments that previous generations have cultivated over decades.
The Ambassador expressed his wish for the Hungary-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Association of Vietnamese People in Hungary to strengthen coordination and organize more practical activities to connect the people of the two countries; and affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary will continue to accompany, support, and assist people-to-people exchange activities.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, the delegates enjoyed traditional Vietnamese music performances and some of Vietnam's distinctive dishes, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture, country, and people, contributing to preserving, spreading, and continuing the traditional friendship between the people of the two countries.
