The People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward organized a week-long environmental sanitation campaign to serve the traditional festival commemorating the 158th anniversary of the sacrifice of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868 - 2026).

On October 3rd, the People's Committee of Rach Gia Ward organized a general environmental sanitation campaign, in response to the urban cleanup week to serve the traditional festival commemorating the 158th anniversary of the sacrifice of national hero Nguyen Trung Truc (1868 - 2026).

Over 170 officials, civil servants, neighborhood leaders, and youth union members participated in cleaning the streets around the historical site, including Ly Thuong Kiet, Tu Do, Mac Dinh Chi, Nguyen Cong Tru, and Truong Tan Buu.

According to the People's Committee of Rach Gia ward, the general environmental sanitation week will take place from September 28th to October 8th, with the peak period from October 2nd to 6th.

Youth union members and young people are picking up trash around the historical and cultural site of Nguyen Trung Truc's tomb and temple.

From October 2nd to 5th, agencies and units organized cleaning of their headquarters and surrounding areas; general cleaning forces carried out cleaning of assigned roads and areas. The ward also encouraged households and production and business establishments to maintain cleanliness in their homes, workplaces, and adjacent public areas; to avoid encroaching on roads and sidewalks, and to prevent the accumulation of waste.

From October 6th to 8th, the ward continued to maintain its sanitation force, intensifying garbage collection and transportation in the festival area and key routes, and promptly addressing any waste dumping sites.
