As part of the second World Culture Festival in Hanoi, the Colorful Street Festival of Five Continents took place on the afternoon of October 3rd in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake. The event brought together domestic and international art troupes, along with artists, artisans, models, the international community, and a large number of Hanoi residents and tourists. Mr. Pham Tuan Long, Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attended and delivered the opening speech.

With the theme " Convergence of Heritage - Shaping the Future ," the Festival of Colors from Five Continents is designed as an open and vibrant space for cultural exchange. Through the ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress), performing arts, and street activities, the program showcases the unique values ​​of Vietnamese culture.

This is also an opportunity for participating countries to share, exchange, and celebrate the unique cultural characteristics of each nation. A highlight of the festival is the parade of Vietnamese ao dai (traditional dress) combined with traditional costumes from other countries, bringing together more than 1,000 people.

The festival was vibrant with a lively atmosphere and a convergence of art from 18 countries, attracting over 1,000 attendees. This year's festival featured art troupes and cultural organizations from numerous countries including Austria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, China, Iran, Laos, Mongolia, Morocco, the Philippines, Spain , Ukraine, Peru, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.

The participation of international art troupes brings a diverse range of art forms and unique cultural heritage, from traditional Persian music, Mexican and Peruvian folk dances, traditional UAE performing arts to Korean Taekwondo.

Accompanying the international delegations were members of lion and dragon dance troupes, artisans, artists from Hanoi, women from Hanoi, the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Club, models, and artists.

The performance points along the parade route around Hoan Kiem Lake include the route from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (47 Hang Dau Street) past Ba Kieu Temple and ending at the main stage in Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square.

Throughout the event, the public enjoyed musical performances, traditional arts, and costume shows. The combination of Vietnamese art with international art troupes transformed the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake into an open cultural stage. Art was not only performed on stage but also directly accessible to locals and tourists.

According to the organizers, the Five Continents Festival of Colors is not only a large-scale artistic and cultural event but also an opportunity for cultures to meet, interact, strengthen friendship, and work together towards a peaceful and sustainable future. Ms. Trinh Thi Bich Hoa (Tien Thang commune, Hanoi ) was impressed with the lively and bustling atmosphere of the festival. "The program was meticulously prepared, and I arrived before the opening ceremony because I wanted a good spot to watch the artistic performances," Ms. Hoa told a reporter from Tien Phong newspaper.
