96 Years of Development and Growth of the Farmers' Association - Proud Farmers of Nghia Dan on a New Journey
Over 96 years of development and growth (October 14, 1930 - October 14, 2026), the Vietnam Farmers' Association has continuously grown stronger, closely associated with the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. Upholding the traditions of patriotism, solidarity, diligence, and creativity, Vietnamese farmers have always played a crucial role in agricultural development, rural construction, and improving people's lives.

In this context, officials, members, and farmers in Nghia Dan have always been united, proactive, and actively engaged in labor and production emulation, economic development, and participation in building the Party, government, and political system at the grassroots level. Particularly, during the process of reorganizing the organization, relocating residential areas, and implementing the two-tiered local government model, the Nghia Dan Commune Farmers' Association has gradually stabilized its organization, reformed its operational methods, and created many practical achievements.

Nghia Dan is an area with strengths in agricultural production, with a large number of members and farmers involved in cultivation, livestock farming, commodity production, and services. Local farmers are always proactive in transforming the structure of crops and livestock, applying scientific and technological advancements, and boldly investing in the development of household economies . Political and ideological propaganda and education work has been given attention, linked to the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws , local political tasks, and the Association's emulation movements. Propaganda methods have been innovated through branch meetings, the broadcasting system, Zalo groups, social networks, and digital platforms.
In 2026, as Nghia Dan commune underwent administrative reorganization, consolidating its residential areas from 22 hamlets into 10 new ones, the Farmers' Association faced new challenges. The Executive Committee and Standing Committee proactively stabilized the organization, reviewed the staff and members, reformed operating methods, focused strongly on the grassroots level, and gradually brought the Association's activities in the 10 new hamlets into order. The commune currently has 2,250 members and 8 professional farmers' association groups; an average of 40 new members are admitted each year. The digitization of member data on the Vietnam Farmers' Association app is being gradually implemented, contributing to improved management and operation of the Association.

Farmers compete to excel in production and business.
The movement "Farmers competing in excellent production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty" continues to be widely implemented, creating momentum for members to transform the structure of crops and livestock, apply science and technology, and develop household economies. On average, the entire commune has about 1,430 households registering for excellent production and business at various levels annually. Through review and evaluation in 2026, 120 households met the standards for excellent production and business at the grassroots level; 8 households were recommended for recognition at the provincial level.
From this movement emerged many dynamic and innovative farming households, such as Mr. Vo Minh Ngoc in Binh Nghia hamlet; Mr. Phan Van Hieu in Trung Nguyen hamlet; Ms. Tran Thi Xuyen in Tan Mai hamlet; Ms. Le Thi Kim Luy in Tan Minh hamlet; Ms. Cao Thi Sinh and Mr. Dong Phuc Tam in Tan Hong hamlet, and many other exemplary farming households. Depending on the scale and field, many households earn from hundreds of millions to billions of dong per year, contributing to job creation, improving living standards, and developing the local economy. The models are increasingly diverse, linked to local advantages such as fruit tree cultivation; pig and goat farming; commercial frog farming combined with collecting, processing, and selling eels; livestock farming combined with animal feed business; transportation services; construction materials business; and other integrated economic models.

The movement of farmers competing to excel in production and business also spreads the spirit of "mutual support and solidarity" among its members. The Farmers' Association of the commune has supported many poor member households with livestock, feed, and participation in vocational training courses in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine; it also provided 50 million VND to one disadvantaged member household in Tan Minh hamlet to build a house through the "Brick of Compassion" program. Through this, the Association has promoted its role in connecting, sharing experiences, supporting resources, and helping members develop production, increase income, and gradually achieve a stable life.
Supporting farmers and creating momentum for economic development.
The commune's Farmers' Association focuses on supporting its members in accessing capital, science and technology, vocational training, and production connections. The Provincial Farmers' Support Fund currently manages over 2.15 billion VND, supporting 53 members with loans for investment and expansion of production and business. The Social Policy Bank manages 5 savings and loan groups with 196 members, with a total outstanding loan balance of over 15.3 billion VND, creating additional resources for members to develop production, improve income, and stabilize their lives.
The transfer of scientific and technical knowledge is regularly maintained; every year, the Association coordinates the organization of approximately 10 training courses for over 500 members, and also collaborates in opening short-term vocational training courses in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine for hundreds of farmer members, contributing to improving their knowledge and production skills. In 2026, the Association, in coordination with the Provincial Community Support Center, provided 26 breeding goats and 1,000 kg of commercial goat feed to three members in Tan Mai and Binh Hanh hamlets. This support in terms of breeding stock, feed, technical guidance, and vocational training contributes to creating favorable conditions for members to develop suitable farming models and gradually improve economic efficiency.
Building a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe road.
Working together to build a civilized new rural area.
Linking the Association's work with building new rural areas, protecting the environment, and improving the quality of life in residential areas, the Association has built, maintained, and cared for 8 "Farmers' Gratitude Tree Rows," 2 "Farmers' Gratitude Gardens" with a total length of approximately 5 km; 6 "New Rural Area Standard Gardens" and 1 "bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe" road. The movements "Producing microbial organic fertilizer from agricultural waste and by-products" and "Collecting used pesticide packaging in fields and canals" have been implemented in 100% of the branches and are regularly maintained. In 2025, the Association will provide nearly 400 households with 2,000 kg of microbial organic fertilizer composting agents, equivalent to composting 1,000 tons of organic fertilizer, and also support 500 kg of soil improvement agents, contributing to the utilization of agricultural waste, reducing production costs, and protecting the environment. Through these movements, the leading role of farmers in building new rural areas has been promoted, contributing to making the rural landscape of Nghia Dan increasingly bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe.
Actively participate in building the Party and the government.
Along with economic development, the Farmers' Association of the commune actively participates in building the Party, government, and political system at the grassroots level; contributing opinions to policies, resolutions, programs, projects for socio-economic development, and documents of Party Congresses at all levels. The Association focuses on identifying, nurturing, and recommending outstanding members for the Party to consider for admission. In 2025, it recommended 4 outstanding farmer members who were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam .
