On the morning of October 3rd, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, the Hanoi People's Committee officially held the launching ceremony to respond to "Vietnam Culture Day" 2026. This is an important event to concretize Action Program No. 08-CTr/TU of the Hanoi City Party Committee on the development of Vietnamese culture.

Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, delivered a speech at the ceremony.
The year 2026 marks the first time that "Vietnam Culture Day" will be held nationwide, demonstrating the profound concern of the Party and State for the development of culture, while also highlighting the role of the people as the main creators and preservers. With the message "Thang Long Hanoi, a thousand years of civilization - The myriad colors of Vietnam," this event kicks off a series of rich cultural activities lasting until November 24, 2026.

Representatives from Hanoi and other provinces and cities signed the Coordination Regulations.
The program was held in a solemn manner with outstanding content: welcoming artistic performances, opening speeches from the leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee, launching ceremonies and artistic exchanges with artisans, artists and people of various ethnic groups. A key highlight of the ceremony was the signing of the Coordination Regulations between Hanoi and 10 provinces and cities (Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Son La, Gia Lai, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Hue and Can Tho) to strengthen cooperation in the preservation and promotion of the cultural values of ethnic groups.

Art performances and direct interactions with artisans and ethnic communities are among the main activities at the launching ceremony.
On October 3rd and 4th, locals and tourists participating in the event will be immersed in a diverse cultural experience, highlighted by activities such as the Thang Long - Hanoi exhibition, visits to 20 booths showcasing typical traditional craft village and OCOP products, as well as art performances and direct interactions with artisans and people of various ethnic groups.

Hanoi city leaders participated in cultural exchanges and activities with ethnic communities at the event.

Delegates visited the exhibition space and experienced diverse cultures.
Following this launch event, the highlight of the "Vietnamese Culture Day in Hanoi" series of activities will take place from November 21st to 24th, 2026, in the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem Lake. Positioned as a cultural event bearing the capital's brand, the program not only creates a space for connecting and promoting culture but also awakens pride and encourages people to participate in preserving, practicing, and enjoying culture, thereby affirming Hanoi's role as a major cultural center of the country and contributing to building a "Culturally Rich, Civilized, and Modern" Hanoi.
