Given the potential for urban flooding and landslides in mountainous areas due to heavy rains , Da Nang City has issued continuous warnings and directed local authorities to proactively respond. In recent days, in mountainous communes, local authorities have mobilized vehicles and personnel to urgently address landslides on key roads, ensuring traffic flow and safety for residents.
Along provincial road DT606, connecting the western branch of the Ho Chi Minh Highway to the border communes of Avuong, Tay Giang, and Hung Son, over 70km of this vital road has numerous dangerous landslide points. Construction units have mobilized maximum mechanical equipment to address the problem, but have not been able to completely resolve the landslides while heavy rains continue.

Mr. Huynh Ba Da, the project commander for the landslide remediation project on provincial road DT606, said that heavy rain has caused continuous incidents, and the units are focusing on remediation. He asked for the public's understanding during the implementation period.
The DH4 road leading to the border gate and border residential areas in Hung Son commune also frequently experiences landslides. To ensure temporary traffic flow, Da Nang City invested 7 billion VND in emergency repairs to this road. However, over the past year, every time there is heavy rain, landslides continue, affecting the travel of people in the border area.
According to local residents, traveling on this road, which is frequently affected by landslides, poses a significant danger. Mr. Ría Kế, from Hùng Sơn commune, Da Nang city, stated that there are times when it's sunny but then landslides occur when it rains, causing concern among residents whenever they pass through.

Mr. Nguyen An, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hung Son commune, said that the locality is focusing on improving transportation and has also requested the city to invest in building a bridge to ensure safer travel for the people.
During the ongoing heavy rains, authorities in mountainous communes proactively responded to the natural disaster, including organizing the evacuation of residents in areas at risk of landslides. Local authorities also mobilized vehicles, machinery, and civil defense forces to be on standby, ready to participate in rescue and relief operations when necessary.
