The specialized inspection team of the Ministry of Interior worked with the People's Committee of Can Tho City.

On the afternoon of October 6th, the specialized inspection team of the Ministry of Interior held a working session with the People's Committee of Can Tho City regarding the implementation of laws on the organizational structure of administrative agencies and public service units, as well as the management, allocation, and utilization of civil servant personnel.

According to the report, Can Tho City currently maintains 14 specialized agencies and 1 city-level administrative organization; at the commune level, 309 specialized departments and 103 Public Administrative Service Centers have been restructured. Regarding public service units, the city has issued 34 decisions on merging, dissolving, and reorganizing public service units; established 103 commune/ward-level comprehensive service centers; and transferred 103 health stations to local management...

Representing the inspection team, Mr. Vu Hai Nam, Director of the Organization and Personnel Department of the Ministry of Interior, acknowledged and highly appreciated the People's Committee of Can Tho City for its direction in implementing the two-tiered local government model. He also requested the city to continue promoting the streamlining and consolidation of its organizational structure towards a more efficient and effective system, linked to job positions and actual workload.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, Le Cong Ly, acknowledged all the contributions from the delegation; and instructed the Department of Internal Affairs to compile and finalize the inspection report. Can Tho City hopes to continue receiving support from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to improve its organizational structure and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of state management in the new situation.
