Representatives of the team responsible for collecting the remains of fallen soldiers at Le Thi Rieng Park stated that on October 3rd, the search continued to focus on Area B with urgency and a strong sense of responsibility. The forces there simultaneously carried out the search and expanded the scope, utilizing equipment mobilized by the Ho Chi Minh City Command to assist in excavation, soil transportation, and ensuring progress.

According to compiled data, from June 23rd to October 3rd, 2026, a total of 713 sets of remains of martyrs were discovered and collected at Le Thi Rieng Park. Of these, 680 sets were discovered and collected individually; 33 sets were discovered and collected at 8 mass grave sites.

Mass grave locations were identified in both search areas within Le Thi Rieng Park. Specifically, Area A had 2 locations, and Area B had 6 locations. Thus, in addition to the cases where individual remains were collected, the search results also revealed the remains of martyrs at many mass grave locations within the park.

Of the 713 sets of remains collected, 304 contained artifacts. This cumulative statistic has been recorded since the mission began on June 23rd. The report also clearly distinguishes between the number of remains collected individually and those found in mass graves.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Command, the results from October 3rd further supplement the data on remains recovery after more than three months of deployment. The discovery of eight more sets of remains of fallen soldiers in Zone B and the expansion of the search area demonstrate the determination to bring the fallen soldiers back to their families and loved ones with urgency and seriousness. In the coming days, search forces will continue their mission with the support of excavators, dump trucks, and other trucks, aiming to ensure the progress of the search and recovery at Le Thi Rieng Park.
