GRDP increased by 9.23% in the first nine months.

In the third quarter and the first nine months of 2026, the overall situation of the province remained stable, with many areas achieving positive results, and key tasks for the third quarter were implemented according to plan. Of the 36 main targets for 2026, 4 targets exceeded the plan, and 8 targets met or achieved 75% or more of the plan.

Party building and the construction of the political system have been given priority. The study, understanding, and dissemination of the Central Committee's guidelines, resolutions, and conclusions have been organized seriously, with over 99.6% of cadres and Party members participating. The organizational structure continues to be streamlined; the operation of local governments at both levels is gradually becoming more orderly.

The economy maintained its growth momentum, with GRDP increasing by 10.28% in the third quarter and 9.23% overall for the first nine months. The industrial production index increased by 13.74% in the first nine months; total retail sales of goods and services reached over 234.5 trillion VND, an increase of 25.27%. The province welcomed approximately 23.48 million tourists, an increase of 18%; total tourism revenue is estimated at 57,922 billion VND, an increase of 38.2%. State budget revenue in the province is estimated at over 25,252 billion VND, equivalent to 78% of the projected target.

Preparations for the APEC 2027 Summit have seen significant progress; 20 out of 21 projects have sufficient land available for handover to investors for construction. The handling of outstanding and protracted projects has been accelerated; of the 474 projects facing difficulties and obstacles, 359 have been resolved, and the remaining 115 are still being processed…

Accelerate public investment and key projects.

Regarding the tasks for the fourth quarter of 2026, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quang Tung requested the effective implementation of programs, plans, and projects that concretize the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the two-level local government; promoting administrative reform and digital transformation ; and strengthening discipline, order, and responsibility in the performance of public duties.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the vigorous implementation of the growth plan, striving for a GRDP growth rate of 10.71% or higher for the whole year; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and the progress of key projects; resolving outstanding and long-standing projects; and effectively managing and exploiting public assets and land and housing funds after restructuring.

Focus on combating IUU fishing, developing aquaculture and marine farming; promoting trade and tourism; caring for culture and society, education, health, and social security; promoting science, technology, and digital transformation; and maintaining national defense, security, and sovereignty over borders, seas, and islands.

Regarding APEC 2027, the Provincial Party Secretary requested ensuring the progress and quality of construction projects; strengthening coordination between departments and agencies with the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone; and preparing comprehensively the infrastructure, facilities, and conditions to serve the APEC 2027 Summit.

At the meeting, after review and discussion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee unanimously approved 12 proposals according to the program; assigning relevant agencies and units to incorporate feedback, finalize dossiers, and implement the next steps ensuring compliance with authority, procedures, and regulations.
