On the evening of October 3rd, in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone, An Giang province, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, organized the "Vietnam- Korea Culture Day 2026" to commemorate the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea (1992-2026).

Opening the program, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone Nguyen Thi Kim Loan emphasized that the Vietnam-Korea Cultural Day 2026 is an opportunity for the people of the two countries to directly meet, experience, and feel the unique cultural values ​​of each nation, thereby strengthening understanding, respect, and fostering friendship, contributing to concretizing the policy of promoting cultural diplomacy, leveraging the soft power of culture, and making culture an endogenous resource for sustainable development.

The event showcased the role of people-to-people diplomacy, through meetings and exchanges between artists, youth, businesses, and tourists, fostering the Vietnam-Korea friendship through practical experiences.

This is also an important opportunity to promote the image of An Giang's land and people, introduce the potential and outstanding values ​​of Phu Quoc island to international friends, and expand economic , trade and investment cooperation, creating conditions for Korean businesses to explore investment opportunities in An Giang and the Phu Quoc special economic zone.

Ms. Park Chan A, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, stated that this is a significant event, contributing to strengthening the friendly relations and exchanges between Vietnam and Korea.

Phu Quoc, known as the pearl island of Vietnam, attracts not only Korean tourists but is also a popular destination for people from all over the world .

In 2027, Phu Quoc will host the APEC Summit, where discussions will take place on the direction of economic cooperation and the future of the Asia-Pacific region. The Vietnam-Korea Cultural Day is expected to become an opportunity for people from both countries to come closer together and better understand each other's cultures.

The 2026 Vietnam-Korea Cultural Day will include various activities showcasing Korean and Vietnamese culture, tourism, and cuisine . The Korean experience area will promote Korean culture, tourism, and cuisine, introduce typical Korean agricultural products and food items, and provide information on Korean tourism and cultural products.

The space, themed "Vietnam-Korea through the pages of books," displays publications, documents, newspapers, and vivid paintings promoting the knowledge, cultural beauty, and people of the two nations.

The thematic exhibition "Cultural Imprints of An Giang" provides an overview of the historical depth and typical values ​​of the Oc Eo-Ba The cultural heritage, national treasures currently preserved in the province, along with the rich life of the Kinh, Cham, Khmer, and Hoa ethnic communities, and the cultural and scenic coastal and island landscapes of the homeland.

An Giang province also organized a space to showcase its economic potential and local products, featuring typical OCOP (One Commune One Product) products.
