In the Attack Round of the ATVNCG 2026 Finals, both Alliances chose stories that touched the heart. The Khai Hoan Alliance decided to take the audience to meals shared with mothers in their performance "Home-cooked Meals." In addition, the contestants also had the opportunity to share their own experiences with family meals.

For Thơm Da LAB, "Home-cooked Meals" is a performance he dedicates to his mother. More than just a musical stage, it's a moment for him to reminisce about the meals that were part of his childhood. He recounts the years of his youth, when his mother left their hometown for Hanoi to make a living and explore a new world. Those days meant that they had very few meals together.
"And now, when things have gotten better, my mother can no longer eat her home-cooked meals," Thơm Da LAB expressed with a choked voice. From his own story, he also sent a message to viewers who are fortunate enough to still have their mothers. "Hopefully, all of us here will be able to go home and eat our mothers' home-cooked meals tomorrow!" he said.

Sharing about the process of perfecting the performance, Anh Tài It's Charles said that "Home-cooked Meal" took shape after pondering how to tell his own story along with his brothers in the alliance, when each person has a different family, memory, and "taste of home-cooked meals." Through the lyrics, It's Charles wrote from the perspective of children, trying to find common ground among the members.
For Thai VG, "Home-cooked Meals" opened up an opportunity for him to reflect on his childhood and his relationship with his mother. Before stepping onto the stage, the image of his mother working day and night to provide for her three children came back to his memory. Thai VG hopes that when he grows up, he can become a different kind of father than he was, because his children back then weren't always well-behaved.
"Now that I have my own family, I always want to be there with my children, giving them the love that I never received when I was little," Thai VG shared.

Meanwhile, Dong Hung confronts memories of times he unintentionally hurt his mother. From past arguments, he realizes he had forgotten that his mother was also a woman carrying her own losses.
"When I disobeyed my mother, I didn't think about the fact that she was an orphan, having lost her own mother," Dong Hung shared. Through the performance, he also wanted to convey that parents are also learning how to be parents for the first time: "They are also first-time parents. Don't blame them."
For Toki Thanh Tho, "Home-cooked Meal" came at a time when he reflected on his journey back to the stage. As one of the two talented contestants revived and participating in the Finals, he carried with him joy but also the pressure of having to prove himself worthy of that opportunity. However, the performance helped him realize that what he wanted to hold onto was no longer the competition, but the happiness of still having a stage to sing on, with an audience listening and calling his name.
Appearing in the performance, Meritorious Artist Le Thien also conveyed a message about motherly love: "The homeland is the mother, and the mother is also the homeland. The greatest happiness for a mother is to welcome her children back from all over the world."
