Previously, a post appeared on social media from someone claiming to be a parent of a child in class 5A3, complaining that homeroom teacher QTMH assigned too much homework.

According to the post, there are evenings when students have to copy notes, do homework, and prepare for new lessons, amounting to more than 10 A4 pages. The poster argues that this puts pressure on students and parents, and leaves the children with little time to rest.

The post also suggested that teachers reconsider the amount of homework, avoiding putting too much pressure on fifth-grade students.

However, some parents of students in class 5A3 believe that the above content does not reflect reality.

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Tam said she had read a post complaining about homeroom teachers assigning excessive homework. Initially, she was quite surprised, but after checking her child's books and discussing with her child, she concluded that the information was inaccurate.

According to Ms. Tam, her child only spends about 30 minutes each day completing the assignments given by the teacher, mainly reviewing old knowledge. She also believes that the students in the class do not show any signs of being stressed about going to school.

"As parents, we all love our children and have the right to offer advice. However, if there's anything unclear, we should discuss it directly with the homeroom teacher or the parent-teacher association to resolve it, instead of posting it on social media," Ms. Tam said.

According to verification by the authorities, the claim that the teacher assigned too much homework, causing students to be overloaded, is false.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thy also believes that the feedback on social media is inaccurate and negatively impacts the homeroom teacher and the school.

According to Mr. Thy, his son is the class's academic deputy and confirmed that the teacher did not assign homework. The students who took homework home did so because they had not completed their in-class assignments.

Speaking with reporters, a group of fifth-grade students at the school also said that normally, teachers don't assign homework. Students who haven't completed their assignments in class can take them home to continue working on them.

Mr. Le Son Khoa, Principal of Primary School No. 1 in Binh Dinh Ward, said that the school always adheres to the policy of not assigning homework to primary school students, aiming for them to complete assignments in class.

Regarding the incident, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh ward stated that after receiving information on social media, the local authorities directed relevant units to investigate and verify the matter.

Through discussions with the school's administration, the homeroom teacher, and representatives of the Parent-Teacher Association of class 5A3, the authorities determined that there was no excessive homework assignment as reported.

The People's Committee of Binh Dinh ward also stated that the account posting the complaint was fake, not belonging to a parent of a student in the class, and not within their jurisdiction. The police are currently continuing to investigate and handle the case according to regulations.
