The works presented at the exhibition showcase diverse approaches to lacquer painting, ranging from abstract to realistic, from subtle to powerful expressions. Through these works, the artists open dialogues about humanity, nature, time, and contemporary life.

Traditionally associated with Vietnamese art, lacquerware is formed through multiple layers of paint, coatings, polishing, and embellishments. In "Sắc Tâm 2026," this material is placed in interaction with the culture of agarwood and the heritage space of the Temple of Literature - National University.

Accompanying the exhibition, Tram Tue introduces its collection of agarwood sculptures and Vietnamese agarwood products. The fragrance of agarwood is incorporated into the viewing space as an experiential element, adding a layer of sensory perception alongside the visual aspect of painting. While lacquerware is perceived through color and texture, agarwood evokes memories through its aroma, guiding viewers towards moments of emotional stillness.

Organizing the exhibition at the Temple of Literature - National University also creates a connection between contemporary art and a space rich in historical and cultural value, a place that preserves the academic traditions and the studious spirit of the nation.

“Sắc Tâm 2026” also marks the 20th anniversary of Nguyen Art Gallery's activities in the field of painting, accompanying artists and collectors, and contributing to connecting Vietnamese art with the public.

The "Colors of the Heart 2026" exhibition will take place from October 3rd to 18th at the Front Hall, Temple of Literature - National University, Hanoi .
