From the night of October 6th to October 7th, the area from Quang Tri to Da Nang city and the eastern part of Quang Ngai province will experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms with rainfall amounts generally ranging from 40-80mm, and locally exceeding 200mm. Heavy rain in this area is likely to continue in the coming days.

Additionally, from the night of October 4th to the morning of October 5th, the Northern Delta and Northwestern regions experienced showers and thunderstorms with rainfall generally ranging from 15-30mm, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rain exceeding 90mm. The area from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh had rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms with rainfall generally ranging from 20-40mm, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rain exceeding 100mm.

On the night of October 4th, the Southern region and Lam Dong province experienced scattered showers and thunderstorms with rainfall generally ranging from 10-30mm, and some areas receiving over 70mm of rain.

The risk level for natural disasters due to heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning, and hail is level 1.

On October 4th, the Northern and Southern regions and Lam Dong province experienced showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rain; in the late afternoon and evening of October 4th, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces had rain, moderate rain, with localized heavy to very heavy rain. Rainfall amounts from 7 AM to 7 PM on October 4th exceeded 100mm in some areas, such as at the following stations:

Regarding the cold front, the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting reported that on the evening of October 4th, the cold front affected the mountainous and midland areas of the Northeast region. The Northern region experienced showers and scattered thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Forecasts indicate that on the night of October 4th, the cold air mass will continue to affect other areas in the Northeast region, then some areas in the Northwest region and the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue city. Inland, the wind will be northeasterly at level 2-3, and level 3-4 in coastal areas.

In the Northeast region and Thanh Hoa province, the weather will turn cold from the night of October 4th, with some mountainous areas experiencing freezing temperatures. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa will generally range from 19-22 degrees Celsius, and 14-17 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas.

Due to the influence of the cold front, at sea, from around dawn and morning of October 5th, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will shift to the Northeast and strengthen to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9; waves will be 2-3m high, with rough seas. From October 5th, the northern part of the North East Sea will experience strong Northeast winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, with waves 2-4m high and rough seas. From October 6th, the strong wind area will expand to the North East Sea (including the Hoang Sa Special Economic Zone).
